Travis Kelce has built an impressive career as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs. The five-time Pro Bowler is looking to win his first Super Bowl with the team and has been an integral part of their success over the years. With the Chiefs set to square off with the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl, how much is Kelce worth?

A look at Kelce’s net worth

Kelce is an elite player at his position and is one of the highest-paid tight ends in the NFL. Given his talent level, it is no surprise that Kelce has amassed a fortune worth millions of dollars over the course of his career.

According to Hero Sports, Travis Kelce has made a little over $24 million over the past six seasons. In 2018, Kelce was the third highest-paid tight end in football, coming in behind Jimmy Graham and Rob Gronkowski.

Last year, Kelce was the second top earning tight end in the NFL following Gronkowski’s retirement. Kelce is currently pulling down around $10 million a season with the Chiefs.

Although Kelce is elite at his position, he is hardly the most expensive player on the Chiefs roster. In fact, there are other players who rank ahead of Kelce on the team, including Sammy Watkins ($19 million a year) and Eric Fisher ($13 million a year).

Kelce will drop further down once Patrick Mahomes signs his massive contract extension this summer, which could be worth around the $200 million mark.

Travis Kelce is a leader in the locker room

Kelce, of course, does plenty of things to earn his spot on the team, including displaying good leadership in the locker room.

After the Chiefs defeated the Tennessee Titans to go to the Super Bowl, Kelce stole the show in the locker room, leading his team in a chant that drew chuckles from the press room.

“You gotta fight,” Travis Kelce shouted. “For your right. To paaaaaaarty.”

This is the first time the Chiefs have advanced to the Super Bowl in 50 years. The last time they were in the big game was in Super Bowl IV, where they defeated the Minnesota Vikings.

Chiefs fans are hoping for a similar outcome in this year’s Super Bowl, though the team has a tough opponent in front of them. Whatever happens, fans can rest assured that Kelce will be there to motivate his teammates towards a victory.

Kelce talks Chiefs playoff run

Ahead of the AFC Championship game, Kelce opened up about how this year feels completely different for him and his teammates. The Chiefs have experienced heartbreaking losses in recent years, but for Kelce, everyone is more comfortable about their chances of winning it all.

“You’re more comfortable going into it,” Kelce shared. “It’s not a situation you haven’t been in. You know we’ve been here before, in this exact situation, here at Arrowhead, playing in front of our crowd.”

Travis Kelce added that he put in a lot of work in the offseason to become a better player this year. This includes paying better attention to his diet and making sure his body gets the treatment it deserves after each game.

So far, Kelce’s tactics have paid off and he is having one of the best post-seasons of his career. If Kelce can keep this up, then there is a good chance the Chiefs will be holding the Lombardi Trophy when it’s all said and done.

Travis Kelce drops F-bomb

While the Chiefs are looking ahead to their matchup in the Super Bowl, beating the Titans was no easy task.

Once again, the Chiefs fell behind early in the game before mounting an impressive comeback behind their star quarterback. By the end of the game, Mahomes had three passing and one rushing touchdown.

While Mahomes was being interviewed after the game, Kelce interrupted his chat with CBS anchor Tracy Wolfson and showered praise on his quarterback. He also dropped a huge F-bomb at the end of his talk, which made it onto the live broadcast. Oops.

Considering how this is the first time the Chiefs have been to the Super Bowl in 50 years, we are confident most fans felt the same way.
