Travis Kelce Said Taylor Swift ‘Really Won’ Him Over at the 1st Chiefs Game She Attended
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift captured global attention in Sept. 2023, when the singer attended the Chiefs-Bears game at Arrowhead Stadium. Since then, Swift’s fans have embraced Kelce and his team. According to him, the game was also a pivotal moment in his relationship with Swift. He shared how she won him over at that game.
Travis Kelce said Taylor Swift impressed him at her first Chiefs game
After Kelce divulged he was disappointed he didn’t meet Swift at her Kansas City Eras Tour stop, rumors began to fly about the pair’s relationship. When the Chiefs played the Bears in September, Swift confirmed their relationship by attending the game with Kelce’s family. Kelce said that seeing her around his family made him fall for her.
“She’s very self-aware… She understands situations like that,” Kelce said on the Bussin’ With the Boys podcast. “I think that’s why I really started to really fall for her, was how genuine she is around friends, family. It can get crazy for somebody with that much attention. And she just keeps it so chill and so cool.”
Despite her level of stardom, Kelce said Swift was relaxed and down-to-earth when she attended the game.
“I was like, ‘OK, so I could probably set you up with everything,’ and she just walked right through the front door. There’s no going down talking to security,” he said. “She’s just like, ‘I just want to be around the family and friends and experience this with everybody.'”
He said this was majorly impressive to him.
“I was like damn, she’s just f***ing in the madness, man,” he said. “She wants to be a part of it. She wants to support me and do things like that … Man, she really won me over with that.”
She supported him when he won the Super Bowl
Swift appeared at many of Kelce’s games throughout the season, including the Super Bowl. After a performance in Tokyo, Swift rushed to Las Vegas to catch the game.
The Chiefs emerged victorious against the 49ers. At the end of the game, Swift and Kelce embraced on the field.

Kelce, who attended the Eras tour as a fan before he was dating Swift, has been at multiple tour dates since they began their relationship. Recently, Swift surprised fans by bringing him onstage at a show in London.
Just before Swift sang the song “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” Kelce joined her onstage wearing a top hat and tuxedo with a tailcoat. Per AP News, he carried Swift around the stage, prompted her to change her costume as part of a skit, powdered her face, and fanned her.
Kelce has spoken highly of Swift’s performances, and likely enjoyed being a part of the show he admires. He described her concerts as “electric” and said he loves watching her in her element.
