Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are in the spotlight more than ever thanks to a stellar start to 2025 for the Kansas City Chiefs. Swift continues to show public support for the NFL tight end. While the couple doesn’t shy away from their fans, they allegedly have strict rules for restaurant staff when they go out to dinner. Here’s what a source said about how Kelce was once friendlier to staff members before dating Swift.

Travis Kelce was allegedly friendlier to restaurant staff before dating Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift cause heads to turn when they enter a room. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end and the pop sensation are one of the most talked-about couples in 2025. While the couple likely loves a private night, they’ve been spotted on date nights in Kansas City, New York, and abroad. An insider told The U.S. Sun that Kelce once acted “friendlier” to staff members who served them and guests who were excited to see him.

“Before Travis began bringing Taylor to the Kansas City spots, he would socialize more with staff and guests of the restaurants,” the insider revealed.

The private dining experience might be more of Swift’s preference. Kelce is known for meeting and greeting fans. In December 2024, he high-fived two Swifties wearing “Eras Tour” merch at a Chiefs game. However, while on the Bussin’ With the Boys podcast, Kelce also noted that he was surprised by how little privacy he and Swift have.

“I’ve had fun with just about every aspect of it,” he said of his all-star romance. “It’s just when you’re at home, you want privacy, and you don’t always get the magnitude.”

Travis Kelce hopes to make it big in the entertainment industry. While he loves the Kansas City Chiefs, he’s proving himself worthy of time on the big and small screens. Kelce hosted Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? and took guest-starring roles in Grotesquerie and Happy Gilmore 2. Lala Kent of Vanderpump Rules fame noted Kelce’s respectful behavior as a game show host.

“I believe [he] had two girls [Sophia Stallone and Nicole Byer] on each of his sides,” Kent said on her Give Them Lala podcast. “And when he put his arms around us, he did not touch! [He] hovered, which I thought was very, very sweet.”

Swift was reportedly hanging out in Kelce’s trailer nearby, which may have impacted his good behavior. Kent’s assistant-turned-cohost, Jessica Walter, noted that the trailer “was parallel to Lala’s, and I’m talking, like, 10 feet away, you guys … And I see a giant black SUV, and then we start hearing whispers on set. Like, what is that black SUV doing? It was our girl Taylor Swift in Travis’ trailer just visiting.”

The Kansas City Chiefs star might feel anxious when out with Taylor Swift, a body language expert says

Body language expert Judi James told DailyMail.com that Travis Kelce showed “signs of awkwardness or anxiety” while on a date with Taylor Swift in Manhattan in December 2024. While Kelce is generally comfortable with the public, he might act extra protective of Swift during their time together.

“His hand clasp with Taylor shows his hand firmly on top and their fingers meshed, showing closeness, but his free hand seems to touch his stomach and move about in a way that suggests he feels under pressure,” James revealed. “His teeth looked clenched and his head is bowed at times, which is an unusual attempt to hide from the press from a guy who normally loves the attention.”

James noted that Kelce’s body language might show he feels pressure to propose to Swift.
