Here’s what a source said about his plans to go global.
Travis Kelce is networking to become an international film star, a source alleged
Travis Kelce is known as the Kansas City Chiefs tight end who’s dating Taylor Swift. But his ambitions extend beyond the NFL. Kelce allegedly wants to make it big in the movie industry and has already started planning to change his career path. A source told The U.S. Sun that Kelce sent a representative to the Venice Film Festival to “network” with people from the movie industry there.
“They want to see if Travis could interest international movie producers and companies and if there are any possibilities,” the source alleged. “He doesn’t want to just focus on the American movie industry.”
The insider added that Kelce has a “very good image internationally” and has been approached by people in the movie and TV industries abroad. Kelce wanted to send a rep to Venice to “get a better idea” of the international movie industry scene and figure out ways to position himself well for roles. The NFL star allegedly already has roles offered to him from Asia.
“Travis is in total love, obsessed with the movie industry, and he wants to explore everything about it,” the source continued. “His reputation is growing fast and he is getting a lot of approaches and offers already. He loves action movies, and to see interest from some big Asian movie companies and producers is great.”

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift made a splash at the U.S. Open in September 2024. Their singing and dancing pleased fans on the internet. While they enjoyed relaxing and watching tennis, Kelce allegedly used the important event to network with big stars like Matthew McConaughey.
“They had a great chat about the movie industry,” a source told The U.S. Sun regarding Kelce and McConaughey. “They spoke about navigating it after so many years, about his experience, and about getting some advice.”
Kelce also spoke with music giants Usher and Bad Bunny. He has connections to the music industry thanks to his Kansas City music festival, Kelce Jam — and, of course, Swift.
Travis Kelce wants to ‘lean into acting and hosting’ after his NFL career ends
Travis Kelce’s career with the Kansas City Chiefs won’t last forever. A source told People that he’s looking forward to acting and hosting more when he’s finished playing as a tight end.
“He’s really enjoyed hosting, and after he retires, he wants to lean into acting and hosting,” the source said. “He had a blast at SNL.”
While Kelce might be primed and ready to begin a Hollywood career, he’s not yet jumping into it full force. “Football has and will always come first,” the insider continued.
While speaking to reporters, Kelce mentioned that a full-time career in acting likely won’t happen soon.
“The SNL stuff kind of opened up a new happiness and a new career path for me, but it’s funny for me to even say that at this point in my career because I think it’s so much further down the road than it is right now,” he said.
