NFL fans knew who Travis Kelce was before he started dating Taylor Swift. However, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end launched into the spotlight in 2023 thanks to Swift. As of 2024, the couple continues to date, and they seem stronger than ever. Kelce appeared in one of Swift’s “Eras Tour” concerts, solidifying their bond amongst Swifties.
A source told Life & Style that fame may be getting to Kelce. While he has an impressive net worth of around $30 million, the insider claimed that Kelce doesn’t hesitate to “splurge” on designer items.
“He’s traveling by private jet, wearing the occasional bling, buying designer suits, and splurging on grooming like he’s Brad Pitt,” the insider said. “He’s enjoying life to the fullest.”
While Kelce might spend a lot of money on himself, he also spends a lot on Swift. In their first year of dating, Kelce reportedly spent around $100,000 in gifts on his famous girlfriend, ranging from jewelry to clothing to accessories to bouquets of Swift’s favorite flowers.
The insider added that Kelce’s friends are growing concerned. “He’s nothing like the guy they used to know,” the source told Life & Style. “He used to be much more humble, which was part of his charm.”

Travis Kelce plans to stay with the Kansas City Chiefs for the foreseeable future but also wants to expand his professional offerings. A source told Life & Style in May 2024 that Kelce “accelerated” his Hollywood career after the 2024 Super Bowl.
“Travis is not messing around, and in the three months since the Super Bowl, he’s totally accelerated his Hollywood game plan and made multiple trips to town completely stealthily and sewn up a lot of support and opportunities in the process,” the source claimed.
The insider added that Kelce is “refreshingly honest” about his dreams of diving into the acting industry.
“He wants to make himself money, but it’s almost like it’s more important for him to make the executives who dare to believe in him a lot more money, and that’s not something you don’t see every day,” the source continued.
In addition to acting, a source told The Sun that Kelce is in talks to become an ambassador for hotels and resorts.
“He has been talking for many months now that hotels and resorts are a target for him, and there have been talks with many groups in the recent weeks to have him get on board as a shareholder and even an ambassador for some groups that have hotels and resorts all over the world, like many beach places like the Bahamas, Thailand, some Greek Islands, and Barbados, for example,” the source said.
Coach Andy Reid says Travis Kelce ‘can handle’ his newfound fame
It takes a special guy to date someone as famous as Taylor Swift. On The Athletic’s Scoop City podcast, Coach Andy Reid said Travis Kelce “can handle” the fame and attention that dating Swift provides, and the tight end might even “love it.”
“He can handle [the attention],” Reid said. “As a matter of fact, I think he probably loves it to a point.”
Reid added that Kelce can use Swift’s fame to escape during her concerts.
“When he goes to her concerts, she’s the star,” he said. “He can be hanging out there and be the support or the water boy, so he can do that.”
As for Swift, she can do the same thing at a Chiefs game.
“[When] she comes to the game, she can kind of escape having to be the show,” Reid added.
