Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift Say ‘I Love You’ in Video We’re Still Not Over
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have had many cute moments since their love story began. There have been adorable shoutouts in speeches and onstage. But perhaps the cutest of them all came when Swift and Kelce said “I love you” to each other following a big Kansas City Chiefs win.
Kelce and Swift celebrated on the field when the Chiefs secured a place in Super Bowl LVIII
Swift cheered Kelce on when he and the Kansas City Chiefs played the Baltimore Ravens for the AFC Championship title on Jan. 28, 2024. A pivotal moment in the Chiefs’ season, they won 17-10, and secured a place in Super Bowl LVIII. Spoiler: They won.
There to celebrate the victory was, of course, Swift. She—and members of the Kelce family—took the field after the game. Surrounded by cameras, the “Down Bad” singer was spotted embracing her boyfriend and sharing a few words.
Taylor and Travis exchanged ‘I love yous’ in a sweet moment captured by cameras
After walking on the field with the Kelce family, the “Fortnight” singer and NFL star had an awe-inducing moment where they shared a celebratory kiss and shared a few words.
Despite Swift covering her mouth to seemingly keep her words private, cameras picked up her and Kelce’s conversation. “Tay, I’m gonna enjoy with the guys. I love you,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end said before hugging Swift and adding “So much, it’s not even funny,” (via Elle). Swift replied to Kelce’s comment with something equally as cute, telling him: “I’ve never been so proud of anyone, ever.” At one point, she also told him, “I’ve never seen anything like that.”
According to Us Weekly, in November 2023, roughly four months after they started dating, the pair started saying they loved each other. A source told the outlet Swift and Kelce “recently began using the L-word.” Another source described their relationship at the time as “getting very serious,” noting “Taylor sees long-term potential with Travis.”
The romantic exchange was followed by yet another cute on-field exchange when the Chiefs won the Super Bowl in February 2024. Swift and Kelce kissed on the field in what appeared to be the inspiration behind “The Tortured Poets Department” track, “Alchemy,” which is widely believed to be about Kelce. (The lyrics include lines such as, “Where’s the trophy? He just comes running over to me.”)
Taylor Swift’s not in a rush to get engaged but Travis Kelce is
Previously, an insider told Life & Style Kelce is “eager to speed up” his and Swift’s “relationship timeline,” noting “He wants to marry Taylor right away.” As for the Grammy winner, she’s not in a hurry to get married and have children. “She tries to calm him down when he talks about things happening ASAP,” the source continued. “Taylor tells Travis there’s plenty of time.”
After all, even the Super Bowl winner’s mom, Donna Kelce, admitted in September 2024 that their relationship is “still really, really new.” At the time of writing Kelce and Swift have been dating for approximately a year and a half.
With the Eras tour over and NFL playoffs coming soon, Kelce and Swift are looking forward to spending more time together. Maybe they’ll have serious relationship talks? Or possibly discuss getting engaged? (Their friends are expecting an engagement announcement sooner rather than later.)
Whatever’s in store, their sweet “I love you” exchange will live rent-free in our minds.
