’90 Day Fiancé’: Deavan Clegg’s Mom Confirms She and Jihoon Are Not Together Right Now
Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee’s relationship on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way hasn’t exactly been the strongest. From the moment that Clegg landed in Korea, the two had issues. On the most recent episode of the show, the pair seemed to be headed for a breakup. We know that months have passed since filming, but Deavan’s mom, Elicia Clegg, recently confirmed that the two are not together right now.
Deavan and Jihoon’s issues
Lee and Deavan’s relationship sped up when Deavan got pregnant shortly after meeting Lee. She tried to live in Korea with him, but the two had no money as Lee was in a massive amount of debt. Eventually, Deavan left Korea and said that she would only come back if Lee helped with the bills and support of their family.
In order to entice Deavan into coming back to Korea, Lee told her that he had a job where he would earn $3,000-$4,000 a month even though that was not the case.
“I don’t really have a job,” he said on the show. “I have a side job doing deliveries. It goes by the hour and it’s a part-time job. I lied to Deavan because if I have no money, Deavan’s not [coming] to Korea.”
When Deavan arrived in Korea, the apartment that she picked out was not up to her standards. She became upset with Lee for not going to the apartment beforehand to make sure it was good for kids.
The breakup
Eventually, Lee had to admit that he did not have the money that he told Deavan that he did.
“Jihoon admitting that he’s not financially ready for us to come to Korea is devastating because he told me everything was fine,” Deavan told the cameras. “But he lied to trick me into coming and that’s not OK.”
And things only got worse when Lee revealed that he took the part-time delivery job so he could rest when he wanted to.
“I was very tired yet I was working 17 hours a day while taking care of the kids,” she told him. “I am just shocked right now. For me to put in all of that time to make sure my family was OK while he took a part-time job just so he could take more naps is ridiculous.”
Knowing that Lee had not been saving as much money as he should have been and lied to get her to come to Korea was too much for Deavan.
“I don’t think I want to be together anymore after this,” she said and left the apartment.
“It feels absolutely like s*it that he tricked me,” she told the cameras. “I don’t know what I’m going to do right now. And I just really need some time away from Jihoon to figure out whether I’m going to stay with him or if I’m going to go back to America and leave him.”
Deavan and Jihoon are not together now
Elicia recently shared a picture of Deavan’s daugther Drascilla on Instagram. A fan commented on the photo asking where Deavan and the kids were living.
“She is visiting here, but the travel restrictions have forced her to be here longer,” Elicia answered. “They are struck here until travel restrictions are lessened because of the virus.”
So, Deavan and Lee are stuck in different countries for the time being.
