Are ‘The Bachelor’ Producers Abusive? Kelley Flanagan Has Fans Saying ‘Yes’
By now, diehard fans of The Bachelor know that Kelley Flanagan and Peter Weber are on track to rekindle their romance. Conspiracy theories had been swirling for months, especially after Flanagan was the only woman of the season who wasn’t invited to the Women Tell All. Chris Harrison also threw some gasoline into the rumor fire when he declared that it was important for Flanagan to be in attendance at the After The Final Rose finale special. Furthermore, Weber’s mom, Barbara, seemed to gush over the attorney.

But, rumors became reality when Flanagan and Weber were seen together in Flanagan’s hometown of Chicago, IL. Despite the city’s mandate for its residents to stay at home to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), The Bachelor alums were spotted together outside. The photos showed Flanagan hoisted over Weber’s shoulder and the pair looked particularly flirty.
‘The Bachelor’ alums met before the show even began filming
The pair have always had a strong relationship, even when Flanagan was competing with dozens of other women. A chance meeting at a hotel meant that sparks were flying between Flanagan and Weber before either of them even showed up to film The Bachelor. The fan-favorite, Chicago native was a frontrunner for a long time until she was sent home right before hometowns. Weber claimed that she didn’t seem as serious about the relationship and he’d held on to her merely because they shared an initial connection and a chance meeting.
Did ‘The Bachelor’ producers sabotage Weber and Flanagan’s relationship?
But, it seems that Weber and Flanagan’s chance at being a happy couple throughout the show may have been sabotaged by none other than The Bachelor producers. In a recent interview with the Almost Famous podcast, Flanagan revealed that she started getting suspicious of producers when Weber’s attitude toward her completely changed.
Flanagan continued on to share that The Bachelor producers went out of their way to prevent her from spending time with Weber and furthering their connection. She even revealed that they went so far as to lock her in the closet to prevent her from seeing him. The attorney also added that she shared this information with Weber on their one-on-one date, but he was too brainwashed by the producers to see reason.
The attorney claims the producers locked her in a closet
“They don’t let me see you. They locked me up in a closet for three hours last week, and they won’t let me see you,” Flanagan recalls saying to Weber. “You clearly know they push some people forward and they don’t push others forward,” she continued, remembering how she tried to get the bachelor to see reason. “It’s just I saw him, like, things were getting in his head that he wasn’t able to make his own decision and it just kind of pissed me off,” she shared with the podcast co-hosts about the situation.
Are ‘The Bachelor’ producers abusive?
Unfortunately, we can absolutely believe that The Bachelor producers sabotaged Flanagan’s relationship with Weber. She never seemed flustered or willing to play their game. Furthermore, the producers were particularly ruthless for Weber’s season and fans have gone so far as to say that the producers ruined the whole season. But, locking her in a closet takes things to a whole new level.
It’s one thing to manipulate a relationship, but fans of the franchise believe that locking someone in a closet goes directly into abuse territory. After hearing Flanagan’s account, many fans on social media have sworn off the franchise. Furthermore, others are urging Flanagan to put her vocation to good use and sue. Thus far, Bachelor producers have not responded to the accusations. We can only imagine what they would say to try to justify such an absurd situation.
