TWICE are making history. After completing the U.S. leg of their 4TH WORLD TOUR Ⅲ arena tour, the K-pop group announced an encore show at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles on May 14. Due to popular demand, TWICE added a second encore concert on May 15. Tickets for both shows have since sold out, making TWICE the first female K-pop group to headline and sell out a concert in a U.S. stadium.

TWICE sold out two stadium concerts in the U.S.

With the announcement of 4TH WORLD TOUR ‘Ⅲ’ ENCORE, TWICE became the first female K-pop group and second K-pop group in history to put on a stadium concert in the U.S.

According to a press release, “Their 4TH WORLD TOUR ‘Ⅲ’ ENCORE performances in North America has now sold out two shows at Los Angeles’ Banc of California Stadium. The first show sold out in under 60 minutes, and a second date that was added due to popular demand also subsequently sold out in the same fashion.”

By selling out the two shows, TWICE is the first K-pop girl group to headline and sell out a U.S. stadium concert.

The band announced 4TH WORLD TOUR ‘Ⅲ’ ENCORE on March 30. Tickets for the first encore concert went on sale on April 6, and tickets for the second encore concert went on sale on April 11.

The announcement of 4TH WORLD TOUR ‘Ⅲ’ ENCORE comes on the heels of TWICE completing the U.S. leg of their world tour, 4TH WORLD TOUR Ⅲ.

For the tour, the group held multiple arena concerts in South Korea and the U.S. The tour will continue in Japan before the encore concerts take place in LA.

The K-pop group recently released an album

Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu debuted as TWICE with JYP Entertainment in 2015.

In November 2021, TWICE released their third studio album Formula of Love: O+T=<3. The album reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart, and it remained on the Billboard 200 for eight consecutive weeks following its release.

Their first English-language single “The Feels,” which dropped in October 2021, reached No. 83 on the Billboard Hot 100.
