Though Kristen Stewart isn’t nearly as clumsy as her Twilight character, Bella Swan, she still sustained some injuries while filming the five movies. As Stewart portrayed a human in Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn – Part 1, she didn’t have nearly as many action scenes as Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, who played vampire, Edward Cullen, and werewolf, Jacob Black, respectively. But when Bella became a vampire in Breaking Dawn – Part 2, Stewart finally got to join in on the fun.

Of course, Stewart did have one memorable action scene in the Twilight movies prior to the last film. Fans may recall that in New Moon, a frantic Bella runs through a crowd of people in Italy in an attempt to save Edward from exposing himself to humans. Racing against the clock, Bella jumps into a fountain to get to Edward in the nick of time. In an interview with Collider, Stewart revealed that that particular scene got her really excited to shoot more action scenes in Breaking Dawn – Part 2.

Kristen Stewart was excited to film her action scenes in the last ‘Twilight’ movie

“I got a little taste of it when we were in Italy,” the Twilight star shared of shooting action scenes. “The physicality was so important then, and it finally became important again. I don’t know. I’d been on the sidelines for so long, just itching. I thought, ‘I could do that pretty well. I think I could do that pretty well.’ I was bursting to do it.”

But Stewart may have been a little too excited to film the action shots because she actually managed to injure herself on the very first day of filming her first action scene. The actor got so revved up that she broke her thumb. And that was hardly the only injury that she sustained. In an interview with Jay Leno, the Twilight star revealed that when she was doing reshoots for the same scene, she injured managed to injure her foot.

“We were doing some stuff for Breaking Dawn still…I keep thinking we’re done. It was cool though,” Stewart revealed, before explaining why she was walking with a limp. “I wasn’t trying to have ultimate swag though when I walked out,” Stewart said. “I hurt my foot [during the Twilight re-shoots]. I wasn’t trying to get out of wearing heels though either. That wasn’t the case.”

Continuing on, Stewart shared that Bella’s first hunt as a vampire was a scene she wanted desperately to get right. Unfortunately, she kept getting injured in the process of filming it. “We were doing just more of the hunt in the beginning,” she said. “The first hunt. It’s so important. I just wanted more of it. We all wanted more of it.” Clearly, Stewart was committed to her part in the Twilight movies. Even though she got injured a few times in the process, she managed to take it all in stride.
