TXT Announce Comeback With ‘minisode 2: Thursday’s Child’
A new Tomorrow X Together album is on the way. On April 14, Big Hit Music announced the K-pop group will release an EP called minisode 2: Thursday’s Child on May 9. The album will be TXT‘s fourth EP and follows the quintet’s 2021 album series The Chaos Chapter.
Big Hit Music released a teaser for TXT’s new EP
On April 13 at 11 a.m. EDT and April 14 at midnight KST, Big Hit Music shared a teaser for minisode 2: Thursday’s Child. The teaser revealed the title of the EP and that the album’s release date is May 9 at 6 p.m. KST.
The teaser opens with the letter X in blue and pink colors from the band’s most recent album, a compilation album called The Chaos Chapter: FIGHT OR ESCAPE.
The X turns from blue and pink to black and white as intense music plays. In the teaser, the X then becomes warped and explodes into bright red pieces against a white background.
A broken heart appears and becomes the center of the X of TXT’s logo. The end of the teaser represents the beginning of a new era with the blue and pink colors of The Chaos Chapter: FIGHT OR ESCAPE replaced with red and white.
What we know about ‘minisode 2: Thursday’s Child’
In October 2020, Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Huening Kai followed their The Dream Chapter era with a standalone EP called minisode1 : Blue Hour.
The 2020 EP told the story of teenagers dealing with their new reality of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. A recent press release describes minisode1 : Blue Hour as TXT’s “first pitstop episode” that “expressed the Gen Z sentiment to present-time experiences.”
According to the press release, Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Huening Kai will “now continue their story with minisode 2: Thursday’s Child.”
Big Hit Music shared a promotion schedule for TXT’s EP
On April 14 at 11 a.m. EDT and April 15 at midnight KST, Big Hit Music released a comeback schedule for minisode 2: Thursday’s Child.
According to the promotion schedule, there will be a “Spoiler Week” from April 14 until April 23. “MESS” concept photos will be released on April 23 at midnight KST, “END” concept photos will drop on April 25 at midnight KST, and “HATE” concept photos will be released on April 27 at midnight KST.
The official tracklist for minisode 2: Thursday’s Child will be shared on May 1 at midnight KST, and an album preview will drop at midnight KST on May 2.
Music video teasers for the EP’s lead single will be released at midnight KST on May 6, May 7, and May 8. The official music video will be released on May 9 at 6 p.m. KST alongside TXT’s EP.
