TXT Release a Choreography Music Video for ‘LO$ER=LO♡ER’
On Aug. 17, Tomorrow X Together released their repackage album The Chaos Chapter: FIGHT OR ESCAPE. The K-pop group‘s album includes songs from The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE along with three additional tracks, “LO$ER=LO♡ER,” “MOA Diary (Dubaddu Wari Wari),” and “0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You) feat. Seori (Emocore Mix).” On Aug. 23, Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Huening Kai of TXT released a second music video for “LO$ER=LO♡ER” that highlights the song’s choreography.
‘LO$ER=LO♡ER’ is the lead single from TXT’s new album
The Chaos Chapter: FIGHT OR ESCAPE has 11 songs: “LO$ER=LO♡ER,” “Anti-Romantic,” “0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You) feat. Seori,” “Magic,” “Ice Cream,” “What if I had been that PUMA,” “No Rules,” “MOA Diary (Dubaddu Wari Wari),” “Dear Sputnik,” “Frost,” and “0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You) feat. Seori (Emocore Mix).”
“LO$ER=LO♡ER” is the album’s lead single. Yeonjun participated in creating the song and wrote the single’s rap.
According to a press release:
“‘LO$ER=LO♡ER’ (read ‘loser lover’), is a catchy emo pop punk track that expresses a real-world ‘loser’s’ desire to be a hero and ‘lover’ to his one-and-only. The song’s title is a creative representation of modern desires; the boy yearns not only to change his circumstances and a heroic lover for ‘you,’ but also seeks riches that will fund your joint rescue from the crutches of this materialistic world. Through its catchy melodies, the song provides a Gen Z perspective on the realities of the world.”
TXT released a new music video for ‘LO$ER=LO♡ER’
A music video for “LO$ER=LO♡ER” was released on Aug. 19 alongside The Chaos Chapter: FIGHT OR ESCAPE. In the music video, the members of TXT each face individual struggles.
Scenes of Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Huening Kai going through hardships are interspersed with the members performing the song on a moving platform and riding in a car together.
On Aug. 23, TXT dropped a second official music video for “LO$ER=LO♡ER.” The new music video is a choreography version. In the choreography version of the “LO$ER=LO♡ER,” music video, the members of TXT wear long black outfits from the original music video and dance to the song’s choreography in a barren landscape.
‘The Chaos Chapter: FIGHT OR ESCAPE’ is part of ‘The Chaos Chapter’ series
TXT debuted in 2019, and their first album series, The Dream Chapter, consisted of three albums. In 2020, they released a standalone EP called minisode1 : Blue Hour. With minisode1 : Blue Hour, TXT explored the complicated emotions teenagers face navigating the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The quintet began a new era, The Chaos Chapter, on May 31 with the release of The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE. The album and era showed a new direction for the band, as the members explored new music genres and became more involved with songwriting and music production.
The Chaos Chapter: FIGHT OR ESCAPE marks the conclusion of TXT’s The Chaos Chapter era.
