Tyrese Gibson‘s financial woes have gone from bad to worse and now he’s claiming that he is going broke. So exactly how much is the actor worth and what is he spending all his money on?
Despite a successful music career with the R&B Group TGT and acting in films like Baby Boy, Four Brothers, Annapolis, three Transformers movies, Death Race, Ride Along 2 and five of the Fast films, Tyrese has said that he can no longer afford his lifestyle. Therefore, he is unable to pay his ex-wife’s legal fees because he spends more than he makes.
Reports about the Fast and Furious star’s financial issues initially surfaced in November 2017. At the time, Tyrese’s net worth was reported to be around $10 million but the singer took to social media with an emotional video that he was paying $13,000 a month in child support and was in a desperate situation.
Following his gutwrenching post, he revealed in court papers that his monthly income was $105,000 but his expenses were $107,000. The amount owed to his lawyers was around $133,000 and he said that he had $800,000 in the bank with real estate assets worth $1.7 million.
Tyrese also claimed that because of his brutal custody battle and accusations made against him by his ex, he wasn’t getting movies roles, which is the reason he was so angry at Dwayne Johnson. Tyrese blamed his co-star for delaying the ninth installment of the Fast franchise and went public with their feud by going on several rants about Johnson.

In August 2018, Tyrese made headlines again for his money troubles. CelebrityNetWorth.com then noted that the singer had a net worth of around $3 million. According to TMZ, he responded to his ex’s request for payment of her legal fees and updated his expenses at $124,000 a month. That amount includes his mortgage, utilities, child support, and groceries. Tyrese stated that he only brings in about $51,000 a month, and therefore faces a $73,000 a month deficit. Furthermore, he said that his savings of $800,000 have dwindled due to all the expenses and he now only has $130,000 in the bank.
