Now that all of the Hargreeves siblings are back together, they’re ready to take on dear old dad. But as with any Umbrella Academy reunion, it doesn’t go so smoothly. Here’s what happened when they had a family meal. (Spoilers for The Umbrella Academy Season 2, Episode 6: “The Singapore Sling.”)

When Allison met Ray

When Allison first arrived, she was chased into South Dallas, where she got a job at the salon. That’s where she meets Ray, who asks her out. In 1963, Allison tells him everything, but he needs her to prove her abilities. They go to a store where she uses her power on a shopkeeper.

Allison then takes it too far. She goes into the diner and tortures the owner who spilled coffee on her. Ray realizes how dangerous her power can be, and asks Allison if she used her power on him. She says no, but he knows he’ll never really know the truth. Allison gets her invite to dinner.

Let’s (not) make a deal

At the warehouse, Five and the Handler chat, and he learns that Lila’s her daughter. She says in exchange for Five killing off the Commission’s board of directors, she’ll send him and his siblings back to 2019, and make both apocalypses go away. Five says he needs time to think about it.

Lila wants the job, but the Handler says she has “other plans” for her. She also suspects Lila has feelings for Diego. Speaking of, the Handler enacts the next part of her plan, telling the Swedes she’ll help them find Diego since they believe he’s responsible for their brother’s death. But they can’t hurt Five.

Ben and Klaus are at each other’s throats again. Ben gets Klaus to talk to his followers and reveal that he’s a fraud, but they refuse to stop worshiping him. Klaus and Ben argue more about Klaus’ drinking, and they discover Ben can transport through Klaus. We also meet Ben’s crush, Jill.

Dave shows up at the mansion to apologize for hitting Klaus. While revealing more of what he knows about Dave, Klaus again tells him that joining the military won’t fix his problems. Dave tells him he’s lying, and Klaus gives him his own dog tags as proof. Klaus finds out that Dave already enlisted, which means that they’ve officially altered the timeline.

All of the siblings show up for dinner. Naturally, the event is a disaster. Reginald still doesn’t believe he would ever adopt kids. They explain their story and show off their powers. Diego tells him they know about the plot to kill Kennedy, and Reginald hurls insults at him. Five tells him about doomsday, and he says they should solve it.

Ben briefly possesses Klaus, and it takes him a while to recover. Luther stands up to Reginald, and Allison congratulates him. Reginald asks Five to stay behind, and they have a heartfelt conversation where he tells him to “start small” with his time travel. Five meets up the Handler’s and accepts the deal, which will send him to Wisconsin in 1982.

Swedish revenge

Sissy finds Vanya after dinner and tells her their relationship is dangerous. But Vanya convinces her they can run away. Sissy agrees but asks for time, and they kiss. They don’t realize Carl followed them and is watching. Meanwhile, Diego sees Grace and shows her the incriminating photo of Reginald, telling her about his plan to kill JFK. She doesn’t believe him.

Elliott arrives back at his place, where the Swedes (and their cats) have been waiting for him. They torture him to find out where Diego is. After dinner, Diego and Luther arrive back at Elliott’s to find him dead, killed by the Swedes. They look out the window, seeing the words, “öga för öga,” meaning “an eye for an eye.”
