Usher’s Tweets Get Deleted Following Diddy’s Arrest as Resurfaced Clips Reveal Their ‘Brotherly’ Bond
Music moguls Usher and Sean “P. Diddy” Combs have a long history. Combs invited Usher to live with him when Usher was just 13 years old, and Usher commented on the “curious things” he saw while at Combs’ place. Federal agents arrested Combs in September 2024 on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Now, resurfaced clips showing Usher and Combs’ close bond garnered attention after someone mysteriously deleted Usher’s tweets.
Usher deleted the tweets on his X account after Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs’ arrest
Usher and Sean “P. Diddy” Combs go way back despite the stars’ near 10-year age difference. In March 2024, Homeland Security raided two of Combs’ properties, leading to his arrest in September 2024. Usher hasn’t commented on the raids or the arrest. However, his followers grew confused when he appeared to delete all of his tweets from his X account, formerly Twitter.
Many fans assumed that Usher deleted his tweet in response to Combs’ arrest. Usher spoke out about his experience living with Combs as a 13-year-old, claiming he saw “very curious things taking place” at Combs’ home in New York City. However, Usher tried to defuse the chatter surrounding his deleted tweets by claiming someone hacked his X account and deleted his tweets.
“Account got hacked and damn y’all ran with it!” he posted with crying-laughing emojis on Sunday, Monday, Sept. 22, 2024. “See you tonight at Intuit Dome.” He added peace sign emojis with the emoji of a pair of eyes.
A resurfaced clip shows Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs calling Usher his ‘brother’
Usher’s deleted X profile reminded fans of old clips showing Usher and Sean “P. Diddy” Combs together. One clip posted on Reddit shows Usher talked to Howard Stern about his year at “Puffy Flavor Camp.”
“In the ’90s, do you understand what that’s like?” Usher said. Howard Stern then asked Usher if Combs’ place was filled with women and nonstop sex parties.
“Nah, not really,” Usher said. “But, hey, it was curious. I got a chance to see some things. I went there to see the lifestyle. And I saw it. I don’t know if I could indulge and understand what I was even looking at. It was pretty wild. … There were very curious things taking place.”
Another clip in the compilation posted to Reddit shows Combs with his arm around Usher while talking to Kevin Hart. “That’s my brother right there, since day one,” Combs said about Usher. “We used to wake up and … back in the day, when he was like, 10, and I was a little bit older, his older brother, we used to fight over the Frosted Flakes. … But he’s my brother for real. We used to actually wrestle off of the Frosted Flakes, because he used to always get up early.”
High-profile celebrities might get subpoenaed in the court case
Usher’s X account might’ve been hacked. However, some fans think he might’ve purposely deleted his tweets ahead of a possible subpoena for Sean “P. Diddy” Combs’ court case. Former prosecutor Neama Rahmani, the President of West Coast Trial Lawyers, told The U.S. Sun that those close to Combs should expect a call.
“Jay-Z and other celebrities can be subpoenaed, but they will almost certainly assert their Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination and refuse to testify,” Rahmani said. “People who participated in the sex acts should especially be afraid because they can also be charged with sex trafficking or prostitution, depending on whether they used threats or force against the victims.”
