V of BTS Celebrates ‘Parasite’ Actor Choi Woo-shik’s SAG Win
We don’t know if we’re more jealous of V of BTS being friends with Parasite‘s Choi Woo-shik or jealous of Choi being friends with V. On Jan. 20, V posted two videos on Twitter of the two hanging out in Los Angeles after Parasite‘s Screen Actors Guild Awards win. Choi played Kim Ki-woo in the Oscar-nominated film.

At the SAG Awards, Parasite became the first foreign-language film to win Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. On BTS’s shared Twitter account, V posted two videos with Choi. In the first video the two strolled together side by side.
The caption of the video reads “Wooshik-ssi, congratulations on the SAG award,” according to a fan translation.
“Let’s just walk the path,” V said in the video according to a translation.
“Yeah, let’s do that,” Choi answered.
“Ahhh,” said V as the two walked.
According to a fan translation, Choi then said, “This is just like, the…”
V then posted a second video on BTS’s Twitter account of the two of them eating burgers on a bench.
“It’s hard to believe, that this person is that person from the awards,” V wrote in the caption according to a fan translation.
Neon, the distributor of Parasite, also shared the video on Twitter.

BTS and ‘Parasite’ fans love the friendship between V and Choi Woo-shik
On Twitter, fans could not get enough of V’s tweets. The two friends are part of the “Wooga” Squad, a group brought together by actor Park Seo-joon. Park Hyung-sik and PeakBoy are also part of the supportive friend group. V and Choi meeting up while they are in L.A. for their own successful ventures is just one of the ways the famous friends support each other.

“taehyung, a member of the biggest korean group, and wooshik, one of the actors from the oscar-nominated korean film parasite, just casually walking the streets in LA together,” wrote a Twitter user.
A fan tweeted, “taehyung really formed THE most powerful squad in korea like hello kim taehyung, park seojoon and choi wooshik in a single squad everyone wants to be in that squad they’re just THOSE boys!”
This is not the only cute interaction between the two
Unsurprisingly, this is not the only time V and Choi have supported one another. At the 2019 Melon Music Awards, BTS became the first music act in history to win all four Daesangs. Choi presented the members of BTS with the Record of the Year award.
After Choi announced BTS’s name, V tried to keep a straight face as he approached the stage. Choi and V pretended like they did not know each other and shook hands when BTS accepted the award.
During BTS’s acceptance speech, V suddenly started smiling and could not keep a straight face. The reason? He and Choi looked at each other and both broke out into smiles.
“Remember when woo shik presented the award for bts and upon getting the award, taehyung and him pretended they don’t know each other but smiled immediately when they had eye contact again,” one fan tweeted.
V and Choi are truly friendship goals while being successful in their respective careers. BTS finished their 2019 by winning the most Daesangs in history, and the group will release their upcoming album Map of the Soul: 7 in February. In addition to the cast’s SAG win, Parasite is nominated for Best Picture at the 2020 Academy Awards, making Choi part of history in the making.
