‘Vanderpump Rules’: How Much Will Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor’s Wedding Cost?
Are you ready for a Vanderpump Rules wedding? Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor got engaged last summer, when he presented her with a 3.4-carat diamond ring designed by Kyle Chan. Now, the couple is deep in wedding planning mode. The big event will take place in Summer 2019 in Cartwright’s home state of Kentucky. Here’s what we know so far about the upcoming nuptials, including how much the whole affair might cost.

Cartwright and Taylor spent the holidays in the Bluegrass State with her family. In between the Christmas celebrations, they squeezed in some wedding prep. A few days after Christmas, she shared a photo of her and her beau at the Kentucky Castle, where they’d been attending a food and cake tasting.
The gorgeous venue – which was named the most beautiful hotel in Kentucky by Architectural Digest — is located just outside of Lexington, Kentucky. Weddings at the castle generally cost $100 per person, according to the website, though that “can vary greatly depending on your wants and needs.”
If you’re having a smaller wedding with fewer than 30 guests, you can rent the castle’s Bourbon Hall for $1,975 on a Saturday night during the peak season, plus a $2,500 food and beverage minimum.
But Cartwright and Taylor are expecting a big crowd for their wedding – around 200 to 220 guests — so they’ve likely booked one of the castle’s larger event spaces. Perhaps they’ve even reserved the entire castle, which costs $16,500 at peak times. For that price, they’d get access to the ballroom, rooftop, terrace, and other spaces.
For a truly private event, couples can book the entire property. That cost includes the rental of the entire castle plus the hotel’s six guestrooms, which range in price from $295 to $695 a night. There’s also a $15,000 food and beverage minimum. That would bring the total bill to nearly $35,000. And that doesn’t include other expensive wedding must-haves, like the dress, photography, and flowers.
What on the wedding menu?
Based on the details they’ve let slip so far, it looks like the couple isn’t scrimping when it comes to their wedding food. Taylor shared some highlights from the tasting via Instagram stories, and it looks like guests can look forward to a cocktail with strawberries, lime, and cilantro, $400 truffles, and pretty layer cakes. (Brittany has said she wants a “naked” cake for her wedding.)
But it won’t all be fancy food. Taylor is also promising late-night snacks from Taco Bell, which tipsy party-goers will surely appreciate.
What about the dress?
The bride-to-be has also checked off another major item on her wedding to-do list: choosing a dress. Cartwright found her wedding dress during her first shopping trip, she told ET. But fans will have to wait to see the gown she chose.
“I did not mean to, but the very first place I went to I actually found a dress,” she said. “I’m not gonna just announce the designer and stuff just yet because I don’t want [Jax] to know anything about it. Whenever I walk down the aisle, that’s gonna be the first time he sees it or knows anything about what it looks like.”
