‘Vanderpump Rules’: Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are Married. Here’s How Much the Wedding Cost
It’s been a long road for Vanderpump Rules‘ resident bad boy Jax Taylor, but he finally got married to Brittany Cartwright last weekend.
This wedding comes after the two split last year when Taylor was caught cheating on Cartwright with a former SUR employee. The two went their separate ways before coming back together, seemingly more committed to one another than ever.
After Taylor’s father passed away, the former model claims that he knew that Cartwright was the one for him so he proposed to her shortly after.
Where was the wedding?
Anyone who watches Vanderpump Rules knows that Cartwright hails from Kentucky and loves her home state. So, it wouldn’t make sense for her to get married anywhere else.
Cartwright and Taylor were married at The Kentucky Castle in Versailles, Kentucky.
“It’s a staple in Kentucky, and I thought I was a princess when I was little, so my dad would drive me by the castle all the time,” Cartwright told E! News. “It was just a thing that we did and I love it. I’ve always adored it.”
There were 240 guests in attendance, including some of your Bravo favs like Shep Rose from Southern Charm and Lauren Wirkus and Stephen McGee from Summer House.
The food at the wedding
Cartwright and Taylor love to eat. So, of course, food was a big part of their wedding. Guests were given a gift basket including Meemaw’s Beer Cheese in their hotel rooms when they arrived.
On Friday night, Taylor and Cartwright hosted a rehearsal dinner complete with a Taco Bell food truck.
You might think that the food for the cocktail hour would be a little more high brow, but then you wouldn’t know Cartwright very well.
The food at the cocktail hour included miniature Kentucky hot brown sandwiches. The little sliders included turkey and bacon and were absolutely covered in cheese sauce, which Cartwright loves.
The guests were also given a signature blue cocktail.
The food finally got a little fancier at the reception, where dinner included filet mignon, chicken cordon bleu, and mushroom ravioli.
After the reception, Hooters waitresses handed out wings to guests that were still there to party.
How much did the wedding cost?
The gorgeous wedding obviously came with a hefty price tag. In fact, throughout season seven of Vanderpump Rules, Taylor was constantly shocked at how much things for the wedding cost.
The cost of renting out every venue that the castle has to offer, including the rooftop, the east wing, and the greenhouse is$16,500, according to Newsweek.
Many of their guests came in from out of town, so if the couple rented rooms at the castle, those range from $295 to $695 a night. To rent all six guest rooms and the rest of the entire castle, the cost is around $30,000.
The venue usually charges about $100 per guest which would have run the couple $2,400 just on guests alone.
People who book the castle are also charged for the cost of servers, which is $150 per server, and security, which is $200 per guard, and parking, which is $50 per attendant.
So, all in all, Taylor and Cartwright were left with a pretty big bill. Luckily, Taylor is worth $500,000 and Cartwright is worth $50,000 so the cost of the wedding wouldn’t have broken the bank for either of them.
