Vanderpump Rules fans eagerly await the premiere date of season 9 of the popular Bravo reality show. Filming resumed in May 2021 after a year-long hiatus due to the global pandemic.

Main cast members Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz, who have been on the show since it started in 2013, just celebrated a huge milestone in their relationship.

Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz dated for years before their engagement

The couple dated for two years before Vanderpump Rules started airing in 2013. They got engaged on season 4, episode 10 of the show, which aired in late 2015. So, Maloney and Schwartz dated for about four years total before the marriage proposal.

The couple credits former cast member Kristen Doute with setting them up. Although they faced plenty of struggles throughout their relationship, the two overcame their differences enough to tie the know and make their marriage last a full five years so far.

Schwartz and Maloney have been very open and candid about their relationship, both on and off camera. Viewers saw them go through cheating allegations, arguments, and more.

But much of season 5 of the show centered around the couple’s wedding, which finally took place on episode 21. The couple weathered disagreements over wedding planning, establishing a prenuptial agreement, and a joint bachelor/bachelorette party in New Orleans throughout the season.

Tom Schwartz lost their wedding certificate – twice

Schwartz revealed in season 8 that he lost the marriage license from the couple’s 2016 wedding. This prompted the couple to go to Las Vegas to renew their vows and obtain a new marriage license.

But after the informal ceremony, which took place on season 8, episode 15, Schwartz confessed that he had lost the marriage license for a second time.

Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz are the only married couple on the show

Following the firings of several cast members last year, Maloney and Schwartz are currently the only married cast members on Vanderpump Rules

Two couples from the show, Lala Kent and Randall Emmett, and Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark, had wedding dates set in 2020. Both celebrations were cancelled in light of the pandemic. Schroeder and Clark got married in an intimate ceremony in September 2020, although their original wedding plans were in Italy. They still hope to have a celebration in their location of choice in the fall of 2021.

Kent and Emmet have pushed their wedding date off until they can be certain that they won’t have to cancel again due to the pandemic.

Another Vanderpump Rules couple, Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright, celebrated their wedding on season 8 of the show. They will not, however, be returning for season 9.

Scheana Shay was the first cast member to tie the knot on the show back in season 3, but she has since divorced her partner, who also departed from the show. Shay recently got engaged to her partner Brock Davies, who is also the father of her daughter Summer Moon Honey. Viewers might get to see Shay’s engagement in the upcoming season of the show.

Another cast member, James Kennedy, also recently proposed to his long-term girlfriend, Raquel Leviss. Fans speculate that their engagement will be a highlight of Vanderpump Rules season 9.
