Lisa Vanderpump ran off The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after she was accused of leaking stories to the media to benefit her Vanderpump Dogs Foundation. The former housewife left the Bravo show after she felt she was being accused of something she didn’t do. She alleged that the “puppy gate” scandal didn’t benefit her foundation and she had only done interviews to help her dear friend Dorit Kemsley.

Over the weekend a Ferrari crashed into Vanderpump’s establishment in West Hollywood that is featured on Vanderpump Rules. The entrance to PUMP was blocked off by the accident and thankfully no serious injuries were reported.

Vanderpump even took to social media to make light of the situation.

“No. We are not a Drive-Thru. Thank God no one was hurt…,” she quipped.

Vanderpump’s husband, Ken Todd said he spoke to the driver following the accident. He told TMZ that the guy driving was “allegedly cut off in traffic, which caused him to lose control and slam into the restaurant.”

What the blog didn’t catch was the sneaky way Todd planned to milk all the publicity they could get from this incident. There’s a video online taken from inside the establishment where Todd is allegedly heard saying, “We want to get as much publicity out of it.”

Fans react to audio

After the audio went viral online, a rep for Todd said the quote was taken out of context.

“His full statement was, ‘I want to get as much publicity out of this that by the grace of God nobody was severely injured!’” the rep told Page Six.

Fans of Vanderpump Rules and RHOBH were quick to react on Twitter following the audio.

“They’re both trash. I can’t believe people still fall for their ‘classy’ act,” a fan commented.

“He and his wife are disgusting,” a viewer added.

“Well we all know him and LVP are snakes, why anyone is surprised is beyond me,” another fan said.

“No publicity is bad publicity in business,” a Twitter user intervened.

“Isn’t it ironic that this happened just when the new season of Vanderpump Rules is premiering?” another user pondered.

Lisa Vanderpump talks ‘RHOBH’

Over the past weeks, Vanderpump has been gladly speaking to the media ahead of the Vanderpump Rules premiere. She was inevitably asked about her exit from RHOBH and got candid about the reasons she had to leave.

“I had a great time on Housewives,” Vanderpump told People. “But to have negativity during a time in my life when I needed to try to be positive … I decided it was over.”

Vanderpump was filming the reality show while she was grieving the loss of her brother. The timing wasn’t perfect and the entrepreneur had a rough time on the show.

“I shouldn’t have even committed to do that season,” she said. “If I had had my choice, I would have just wallowed in grief. I wasn’t ready.”

With one less obligation to appear on television, it was reported that Vanderpump would be featured more on Vanderpump Rules.

“Lisa is excited to be featured more on this season of Vanderpump Rules,” a close source told Hollywood Life. “At first, she was deciding what to do about returning to Housewives so she didn’t want to film for Vanderpump Rules at the same time, however, once the decision was made to quit [RHOBH], she couldn’t wait to be featured on camera more.”

Vanderpump Rules airs every Tuesday night at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
