Reality shows like Vanderpump Rules are no doubt all about the drama. One cast member who has been involved in a lot of feuds on the series is Lala Kent. According to Kent, she is usually more careful about stirring up drama when the cameras are off, but she is paid to create conflicts with other cast members when the cameras are rolling.

Lala Kent has feuded with many people on the show

Ever since Kent appeared on Vanderpump Rules for the first time in season 4, she has constantly been involved in feud after feud. Some people she has been at odds with at one point or another include Katie Maloney-Schwartz, Scheana Shay, and James Kennedy.

On the show, Kent has a bold personality and is not afraid to speak her mind. However, this side of her developed after being mistreated by many people.

“I used to be that person that welcomes everyone with open arms, but after everything I went through plus being in the show I definitely have my guard up now,” she shared (via Millennium Magazine). “I was constantly bullied. Kids would throw Diet Coke at my car when I’d drive by. It was horrible.”

Nowadays, Kent is not afraid to stand up for herself. As many viewers have seen, Kent often speaks out when someone crosses her and would even defend people she loves.

Lala Kent admits Bravo ‘rewards’ her for stirring up drama

Kent’s outspoken ways have helped the show continue to be a hit. In a recent appearance on the podcast Trading Secrets, Kent revealed that Bravo “rewards” her financially for stirring up drama.

“My show rewards me for confrontation and speaking up,” she explained. “I don’t want to say that I like confrontation, but I will say that I’m great at it.”

She added, “It’s not something where I leave feeling amazing after it happens, but I know what I signed up for and I’m being paid for my thoughts. When cameras aren’t on, I tend to pick my battles a little bit better. But when cameras are on, it’s, like, ‘Well, I have a thought and I’m going to say it.’”

Vanderpump Rules has helped Kent go from a struggling actor in Los Angeles to a reality TV star with millions of followers.

For example, she continues to act. Some recent movies she has been in include 10 Minutes Gone (2019), Trauma Center (2019), American Traitor: The Trial of Axis Sally (2021), and Out of Death (2021).

In 2021, Kent released a memoir called Give Them Lala, which became a USA Today Bestseller.

Additionally, Kent has a makeup brand called Give Them Lala Beauty and a skincare line called Give Them Lala Skin. After becoming a mother, Kent launched a collection of baby clothes called Give Them Lala Baby.
