‘Vanderpump Rules’: Lala Kent Reveals Her Biggest Regret About the Show
Lala Kent has become one of the stars of Vanderpump Rules. But in her rise from recurring cast member to full-time reality star, Kent has done and said a lot of things, and not all of them are things that she is proud of. Now, Kent is revealing her biggest regret on the show.
Lala Kent’s journey on ‘Vanderpump Rules’
When fans first saw Kent in season 4, she had a very small role on the show. Every few seasons, the show tries out someone new in a smaller role and tests them out before bringing them on full-time. Kent started out as a SUR hostess who somehow was always taking rides on private jets and buying expensive things. The source of her money was a point of contention between her and the rest of the cast for a while as she refused to reveal the identity of her producer boyfriend Randall Emmett.
Once she and the rest of the Vanderpump Rules crew got over that hurdle, they were able to begin forming close friendships. However, whenever Kent would get drunk, she would end up in a screaming match with at least one of her castmates. Now that Kent is sober, she has become a much more calming presence within the group.
What is Lala Kent’s biggest regret from the show?
Kent has done a lot of things and gotten into a lot of arguments on the show, but in a recent interview with Us Weekly, she revealed that her biggest regret is body shaming Katie Maloney Schwartz.
Fans will remember that James Kennedy also body-shamed Schwartz and got fired from SUR as a result.
Will Lala Kent return to the show?
Filming for Vanderpump Rules has been on hiatus due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. During the break in filming, Kent got pregnant with her first child with Emmett. Now, she isn’t sure whether she will return to the show or not.
“I need to see what next season would entail,” Kent told Entertainment Tonight. “I need to make sure that’s a healthy space for me. I don’t get to think just about what’s good for Lala and how she would react to certain things, you know? I’m going to be a mother. … I have my own child looking up to me, so it would have to be the right situation. It’s a different zone now. Brittany and I are becoming moms, I just don’t see me walking into SUR clapping back at Danica [Dow] for serving me the wrong meal, you know? A lot is going to change.”
The reality star is hopeful that if she does come back, she would be able to be a little calmer than she has in previous seasons.
“I don’t want her to have a mom that’s popping off left and right,” she continued. “There’s a lot of things that are going to change. Now, I’m not saying I won’t clap back, because that’s just in my DNA but, yeah, I think I’m going to be much more delicate. I hope.”
