‘Vanderpump Rules’ Comes Under Fire as Fans Freak Out Over New Cast: ‘Nobody Is Gonna Be Watching’
Bravo is making a major change. After 11 seasons, the popular show Vanderpump Rules, which started out as a measly Real Housewives spinoff but became one of network’s most-loved shows, is moving forward with a whole new cast.
It’s no secret that the show, which followed RHOBH star Lisa Rinna’s restaurant staff, has seen its share of drama over the last year (hello, Scandoval). Despite the chaos, fans are not alright with the change and have shown their distaste on social media.
The ‘Vanderpump Rules’ cast is no more
It’s always hard to see even one cast member leave your favorite show. But what happens when every one of them gets axed? Well, Bravo fans are about to find out. After a massive cheating scandal rocked the original cast in 2023, Bravo has decided to take the show in a totally new direction. For quite a while, both the cast and the fans were holding out hope that Bravo would allow them to return, but it seems the whole show just needed a breath of fresh air. Still, most fans are not pleased.
“Nobody is gonna be watching, nothing can compare to the OG cast,” one person wrote under an Instagram announcement from fan account pumprulesbravo.
“They should have changed the show to fit the old cast instead of changed the cast to fit the show. I don’t want to invest in some new kids when I’m now 41,” one fan joked.
“The original cast will never be replaced and bravo is just gonna get negative feedback … you’d think both Lisa [Vanderpump] and producers would be much smarter than this after 12 years,” another user added.
Very few details of the new show have been released, and as of right now, none of the cast members are known. While it seems that Bravo has made their decision final, the fans are certainly fighting back.
Some fans are open to watching a new ‘Vanderpump Rules’ cast
Although it looks like the majority of people are not satisfied with Bravo’s decision, not everyone is so quick to judge. There are a number of people who seem to be open about the idea of a new cast.
“It makes sense, Ariana is too busy and no one likes the toms,” someone wrote.
“I personally think this is the best decision! I love the OG cast, but the show was centred [sic] around a group of young people working at SUR trying to make it in LA and now the OG cast have all outgrown that,” another user commented.
“The show ran its course with the old cast,” someone else added.
Bravo has said that the new cast will begin filming in 2025, though a premiere date is not known.
