‘Vanderpump Rules’: Was the Fight at Stassi Schroeder’s Book Release Party Staged or Real?
Every season the cast of Vanderpump Rules is seen getting into arguments in their homes and in public. Season 8 is no different with Stassi Schroeder and Tom Sandoval getting into a fight at her book release party.
Was it real or stage? There is one person, who claimed was there, had something to say about the filming of the event.
Stassi Schroeder and Tom Sandoval got into a fight at her release party
Schroeder and Sandoval were seen arguing at her release party that is held at Tom Tom’s on Vanderpump Rules. Sandoval felt like he wasn’t consulted about the event.
“I’ve not gotten a single text message,” he told her. She accused him of wanting her to come and “kiss his ring” to get permission for the event. “I talked to Lisa [Vanderpump],” she told him.
Sandoval didn’t think that was enough and asked, “Does Lisa make the schedule here?” Schroeder threw back, “Lisa owns this bar! I did a walk through with [Tom] Schwartz while you were at a boy’s night! How dare you come in right now and do this!”
Schroeder walked off and Sandoval had a conversation with Schwartz. “You knew about this,” Schwartz said to Sandoval. Sandoval claimed he thought the event would include just 15 people. “No, we said 50 to 60 when we sat down,” replied Schwartz. A flashback was then shown of Sandoval being told this.
The stars were reportedly told to go over the fight repeatedly
There is always a question whether reality shows are real. The podcast, Bitch Sesh had on a man named Sam Kieffer, who claimed he was there at the event. He revealed what it was like to watch the cast film.
“So the book thing starts and then everybody’s–their walkie talkie things started going off and they’re loud enough that you can hear them and they’re like ‘Hey, Tom [Sandoval] is next door,'” said Kieffer. He said, “‘We’re gonna send him in to like storm in.'”
He also claimed people were trying to order drinks but they didn’t care because the focus was on filming. “They just had him storm in and they did that fight five or six time in a row. They just kept having people go back to one,” said Kieffer.
There is a reason why the insider says the fight was still real
The podcast guest claimed the show is pretty real. “I remember being genuinely impressed,” he said.
“They would be arguing with each other and they’re very mad and then they go ‘Alright, cut!’ And then the two parties just kind of turn away from each other so they’re still fuming,” he added.
Kieffer claimed sometimes the stars would be moved and someone would mention the last thing they said in order to remind them. Then they would continue filming the scene. He explained this would happen repeatedly so the crew can get different closeups on people.
“If anything it seemed more real because now they’re making them do so much,” he said. “They’re getting incrementally more mad.”
It sounds like the show has stars go through their fights repeatedly. But the person who claims to be an eyewitness to the event still thinks it was all very real.
