‘Very Cavallari’: Kelly Henderson Answers Whether She’d Ever Date Jay Cutler Now That He’s Single After Affair Rumors
During Season 2 of Very Cavallari, rumors started circulating that Kristin Cavallari’s best friend, Kelly Henderson, was having an affair with her then-husband, Jay Cutler. Henderson has vehemently denied the rumors, and Cavallari said she never believed them anyway.
In a recent interview, Henderson was asked, if she and Cutler were ever single at the same time, would she be interested? Here’s what she said.
Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler split after almost 10 years together
Cavallari has always been open and honest about her life on her show. She’s even addressed when she and Cutler experienced ups and downs in their marriage. To true fans of the show, the split didn’t come out of nowhere.
“With great sadness, after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce,” Cavallari wrote on Instagram on Apr. 26. “We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of. This is just the situation of two people growing apart. We ask everyone to respect our privacy as we navigate this difficult time within our family.”
The affair rumors
When it started circulating that Henderson and Cutler were having an affair, Cavallari didn’t appreciate how her former best friend reacted to the rumor. She felt Henderson used the rumor to give herself a fame bump.
Henderson says she didn’t address the rumor because she was advised not to. And when she did mention Cutler on Twitter it was to advertise the podcast episode he was a guest on.
“I was told to not address this because it was bullsh*t and if you gave life to rumors it just made them bigger and more true,” Henderson said on the Domenick Nati Show. “And so that is what I did and I went about my life as usual. J was on my podcast, I posted about that, like I do with every guest, and that was somehow used against me way later. Although, it was never addressed when it happened.”

Cavallari has also said that she was surprised that Henderson didn’t reach out to her when it came out that she and Cutler were getting divorced.
“I think that’s interesting after she said all the stuff she said about me on national television, and things that were not true, and she expected me to reach out,” Henderson told Nati. “At that point, I felt extremely betrayed and not like we were friends.
She continued: “I probably didn’t reach out either because I was getting so blown up by tabloids because of what she put in peoples’ minds about an affair that was not ever true, nor did it happen. So, yeah, I wasn’t very happy with her. It didn’t feel like the right thing for me to reach out. I was not in a place to do that.”
Would Kelly Henderson ever date Jay Cutler?
Nati also asked Henderson if she’d ever be interested in dating Cutler.
“Would you ever–if Jay was a single man and you were a single woman–would you ever be interested in him?” he inquired.
She laughed and gave a definitive, “No.”
Henderson didn’t say “no” because she’s hoping to be friends with Cavallari again someday, though.
“At this point in life, I don’t have that much time for drama,” she said at the possibility of reconciling with her old friend.
