‘Very Cavallari’: Kristin Cavallari’s Ex BFF Kelly Henderson Addresses the Affair Rumors With Jay Cutler
Kristin Cavallari and Kelly Henderson are not friends anymore.
Henderson was accused of having an affair with Cavallari’s ex-husband, Jay Cutler. Henderson swears the rumors were untrue and, to this day, she isn’t exactly sure why she and Cavallari are no longer friends.
Why Kelly Henderson didn’t comment on the affair rumors when they first came out
In an interview with The Domenick Nat Show on Oct. 29, Henderson reflected back on when the rumors first started circulating. She said it “was right after all that Jordyn Woods, Khloé Kardashian stuff.” So when the rumors started and people “saw J and I’s friendship,” it was easy for them to make the jump.
Henderson didn’t deny the affair because she was told she shouldn’t.
“I was told to not address this because it was bullsh*t and if you gave life to rumors it just made them bigger and more true,” she told Nati. “And so that is what I did and I went about my life as usual. J was on my podcast, I posted about that, like I do with every guest, and that was somehow used against me way later. Although, it was never addressed when it happened.”
Henderson told Nati that she’s the last person who would ever have an affair with a friend’s husband.
“I would never do that to my friend,” she said. “I’ve been cheated on. I am literally probably the last person who would participate in that. And this is why I’m still so confused about what actually happened. I still don’t know.”
Why Kelly Henderson never reached out to Kristin Cavallari when she and Jay Cutler got divorced
Nati brought up that Cavallari told People Magazine that she expected Henderson to reach out when it came out that she and Cutler were getting divorced.
“I did not reach out,” confirmed Henderson. “I think that’s interesting after she said all the stuff she said about me on national television, and things that were not true, and she expected me to reach out. At that point, I felt extremely betrayed and not like we were friends.”
Henderson continued: “I probably didn’t reach out either because I was getting so blown up by tabloids because of what she put in peoples’ minds about an affair that was not ever true, nor did it happen. So, yeah, I wasn’t very happy with her. It didn’t feel like the right thing for me to reach out. I was not in a place to do that.”
As for whether Henderson thinks she and Cavallari will ever be friends again, she says “never say never, but I don’t trust her now.”
“At this point in life, I don’t have that much time for drama,” she said later.
