‘RHOC’ Alum Vicki Gunvalson Says Season 15 Looks Like a ‘Big Joke’ and a ‘Hot Mess’
Vicki Gunvalson of The Real Housewives of Orange County announced her departure from the show earlier this year. The OG of the OC was with the Bravo franchise for 14 years, since its inception. Gunvalson didn’t leave any real friends behind and doesn’t have a positive outlook for the future of the series. With season 15 premiering in days, the insurance maven has some tough words for the housewives.
What does Vicki Gunvalson not like about the new season?
When Gunvalson left RHOC, she was not a full-time castmember and had been demoted to a “friend role.” The reality TV personality was friends with Tamra Judge (who was axed as well) and Shannon Beador, who she’s not friends with any longer. Gunvalson was feuding with Kelly Dodd and Braunwyn Windham-Burke who came after her from the get-go.
RHOC Season 15 will be the first season without two of the most emblematic stars of the show: Gunvalson and Judge. Although Gunvalson is busy buying properties and furnishing them, she has seemingly been keeping up with what her former co-stars have been up to. She has some serious shade to throw at the new season.
“This season is chalking up to be such a big joke and I am happy to say I’m no longer a part of this hot mess,” she told Celeb Magazine. “You have Kelly Dodd mocking COVID and wearing hats that say ‘Drunk Wives Matter,’ you have Boring Wind and her ‘modern marriage’– whatever that means, you have the miscasting decisions that were Emily [Simpson] and Gina [Kirschenheiter], and you have wackadoo Shannon who really needs to check her ego and remember where she came from, where she started, and who was there for her all along.”
Vicki Gunvalson and Shannon Beador feud
Gunvalson says she doesn’t plan on returning to the Bravo series, but if she ever did, she would confront Beador. The former has a bone to pick with Beador as she wasn’t present for when Gunvalson announced she was leaving. In fact, Beador dropped her friendship with Gunvalson and Judge after learning they wouldn’t be on the show anymore.
“I really have no reason to be around them anymore,” Beador recently told Entertainment Tonight about ending the Tres Amigas friendship. “We live, like, 45 minutes away from each other, so it’s not like we’re in the same social circles or anything like that. I don’t know when I would ever potentially run into them again.”
Gunvalson was not too surprised with Beador’s actions as she says she had turned on her before. She went on to say that Beador never considered her a close friend.
“If Shannon really considered me a ‘close friend’ as she claims in this interview she did today, where have the calls been since I announced I was no longer going to be on RHOC? Where have the visits been? Where was she when Tamra revealed Simon was battling cancer? Nowhere. Shannon is a selfish, narcissistic, ego-driven person who only cares about herself,” Gunvalson told Celeb Magazine.
The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 15 premieres on October 14 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
