Victoria Monét Stuns in 2 Sexy See-Through Looks at ESSENCE Festival
Victoria Monét began her music career as a songwriter, penning hits for artists like Ariana Grande, including the smash hit “Thank U, Next.” She eventually stepped into the spotlight as a performer, releasing critically acclaimed projects such as her EP “Life After Love, Pt. 1.” Now, fans recognize Monét for her powerful voice and captivating stage presence. She’s also known for her boundary-pushing and glam fashion choices, like the ones she showed off at the 2024 ESSENCE Festival of Culture.
Monét continues to push boundaries in the music industry, solidifying her reputation as a versatile and talented singer-songwriter. The 35-year-old’s courage often translates to her style, too. On Sunday night, the “On My Mama” singer wore a Wet Dreams Bra Dress by Di Petsa to Kenny Burns’ “30 Years of Essence” party.
Monét and other guests celebrated at The Fillmore in New Orleans. The “Alright” singer confidently wore the sheer mesh dress in bright blue. Made of recycled polyester, the piece by Greek designer Dimitra Petsa explores the ecofeminist relationship between women and water. The Wet Dreams Bra Dress features verbiage including “Wet,” “Holy Water Sea Water,” and “Shame is self-inflicting punishment.”
Victoria Monét complemented the $471 sheer mesh dress with Di Petsa’s Wet Script Pants. She added a thick silver chain necklace, silver rings, and on-trend slim sunglasses. Earlier in the evening, the three-time Grammy Award winner performed at the 2024 ESSENCE Festival of Culture.
Wearing a sexy brown number, Monét sang “Alright,” “Party Girls,” and more, with Lucky Daye joining her for “Smoke.” The R&B vocalist and mother of one wore a brown leather bra top and matching chaps and briefs. Straps, grommets, and rhinestones accented the outfit. Silver chains hung on both sides of her pants.
Monét’s performance marked another in a long line of headlining acts. The Atlanta native tweeted, “Essence!!! I had a TIME! thank you so much for having us we enjoyed your love.”
