Netflix‘s drama series Virgin River has had fans on the edge of their seats since it first debuted in 2019. However, the season 3 finale took things to a whole new level. The show follows Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) after she relocates to the small town after several traumatic life events. The nurse and midwife finds herself falling for Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson), a retired Marine who owns the town’s bar.

At the end of Virgin River  Season 3, Mel revealed her pregnancy to Jack, his proposal was interrupted, and a ton of other things happened. Now Henderson says season 4 will answer a lots of questions.

When will ‘Virgin River’ Season 4 be released?

Filming for season 4 of Virgin River wrapped in Vancouver just over a month ago. For fans awaiting season 4, it will likely take at least six months for the new episodes to arrive on Netflix.

It typically takes quite some time for a series to move through post-production before landing on the streaming service. From where we’re sitting this means the show will likely debut in the third or fourth quarter of the year.

Martin Henderson says season 4 will answer a ton of questions

When Virgin River does return to Netflix, it will answer a ton of questions. As we know, Mel doesn’t know who the father of her child is, we still don’t know if Brady (Ben Hollingsworth) shot Jack, and a ton of other things are up in the air.

“I can’t tell you too much because it’ll give it away, but you find out what’s going on,” Henderson told The Digital Fix via Hello. I’m just going to say that season four reveals and answers all the questions but then presents some more. I think season four is going to be really satisfying for people because of that giant cliffhanger. There were multiple cliffhangers, which gives a little love/hate situation for the audience, where they love but hate the wait. It’s going to be worth it because the writers really answer that stuff. I think people will be satisfied.”

Here are the topics that ‘Virgin River’ Season 4 will tackle

When Virgin River Season 4 does debut, it will likely center on the relationship between Mel and Jack. Breckenridge says that fans should brace themselves for what is up ahead.

“If it’s not Jack’s baby, Jack and Mel are naturally going to have some tough times ahead,” the actor told E! News via Hello! “It would be immensely difficult. That would be extremely challenging, especially for Jack. If he’s gonna stick around, if he’s devoted to Mel, that’s gonna be hard to have a baby that’s her dead husband’s baby. That’s just, like, asking a lot.”

Additionally, Brie (Zibby Allen) will have to decide if she wants to continue her romance with Brady now that he has been arrested. We’re also hoping that Charmine (Lauren Hammersley) will give birth to her twins. Furthermore, we’ll get to see if Lizzie (Sarah Dugdale) and Ricky (Grayson Gurnsey) will be able to rekindle their relationship now that he has enlisted in the Marines. Fans will also see the return of Hope (Annette O’Toole) to Virgin River.
