Vivienne Jolie-Pitt Steps Out With Mom Angelina 1 Day After Sister Shiloh Files to Drop ‘Pitt’ From Last Name
Shiloh Jolie-Pitt turned 18 on May 27. Rather than celebrating with cake and candles, the second-oldest daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt filed paperwork to drop “Pitt” from her last name legally. The motion created a flurry of whispers about Shiloh’s standing with her dad. Brad has faced allegations from his now ex-wife regarding the physical and verbal assault of herself and their children.
The Jolie-Pitt children don’t often step in front of cameras. But when they do, they present a united front. Shiloh’s little sister, Vivienne, attended a media event the day after Shiloh filed to change her last name. Vivienne and other supporters gathered at LA’s The Whitley on May 30 to celebrate the Reefer Madness: The Musical revival.
Initially a 1936 propaganda film about the dangers of marijuana, the off-Broadway musical first ran in 2001 to great success. The hilarious and campy musical follows Jimmy, a wholesome All-American teen whose life is ruined by the devil’s lettuce. The show’s original stars, Kristen Bell, Christian Campbell, and Alan Cumming, are producing Reefer Madness.
Naturally, Bell and other Hollywood actors, including Seth Green, Neve Campbell, and Modern Family‘s Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, gathered to celebrate. Angelina Jolie and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt are both musical mavens. Angelina is currently producing The Outsiders as her youngest daughter, who works as a production assistant for the Broadway show.
Both mother and daughter went business casual for Reefer Madness: The Musical‘s opening night. Vivienne wore a black vest over a simple button-up, adding matching wide-leg trousers and black Converse sneakers to the look. Angelina went a bit more formal with a fitted suit and a white T-shirt with a tie printed on it.
Vivienne has also dropped “Pitt” from her name. The Outsiders‘ playbill credits her as “Vivienne Jolie.” Essence also reported that the former couple’s oldest daughter introduced herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie” during her sorority initiation at Spelman College.
Us Weekly reported on the other side of the story in early May. Brad’s security guard, Tony Webb, alleges that Angelina is icing out their dad regarding custody visits. Regardless, we’re sorry to see the Jolie-Pitt children experience the tumultuous nature of divorce.
