‘WandaVision’: Elizabeth Olsen Isn’t Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s Only Sibling
Elizabeth Olsen has skyrocked onto a lot of people’s radars with the release of Wandavision. Though the actress has a number of other accolades under her belt, for some fans of the show, this is their first time really paying attention to her. In fact, lots of people on the internet have apparently just discovered that Elizabeth is the sister of famous twins. Who are Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s other siblings?
Elizabeth Olsen’s acting career
Elizabeth actually had her first acting gig when she appeared in some of her older sisters’ straight-to-home-video The Adventures of Mary-Kate & Ashley movies and the TV film How the West Was Fun. However, those roles were more out of convenience than due to her acting talents as her parents would just bring all of their kids to set when Mary-Kate and Ashley were filming.
“It always bothers me when people are like, ‘Why did you decide to start acting after your short acting stint when you were five?’” she told Nylon in 2011. “I’m like, ‘I don’t even know what you’re [talking] about.”
According to Elizabeth, her first acting job didn’t come until years later.
“I think my first professional acting job was when I was really young but I didn’t really start acting then, I don’t think,” she told Wired in 2018. “I would say sophomore year of college when I started understudying.”
Though people are just finding out about Elizabeth’s connection to the famous twins, the three actually have other siblings as well.
“Technically I have three full siblings and two half siblings.” Elizabeth told the outlet. “But they’re all siblings, you know. They are all whole hearted, my blood siblings.”
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s siblings
The oldest of the Olsen clan is James Trent Olsen, who goes by Trent. You may have seen him in a few of his sisters’ movies like You’re Invited to Mary-Kate & Ashley’s Sleepover Party and The Case of the Mystery Cruise. According to Cosmopolitan, Trent used to sell autographs from Mary-Kate and Ashley to kids at school.
He and Elizabeth were the inspiration behind Mary-Kate and Ashley’s fragrance line, Elizabeth and James. Now, Trent works as a comic book writer.
After having Elizabeth, the Olsens’ parents split up and their dad, David Olsen, had a child with his second wife, McKenzie Olsen. Courtney Olsen is a 25-year-old actress and can be seen in Malignant Spirits: Sense of Fiction and YOLO: The Movie, according to her IMDB page.
Jake is the youngest of the Olsen siblings. The 23-year-old mostly keeps to himself and stays off of social media.

Elizabeth has forged her own career and made a name for herself in the acting world. When she was younger, she tried to stray away from her sisters’ limelight, but overall, watching their experiences has assisted her in her own career.
“It has helped me navigate how I want to approach my career,” she once told The Sun. “I always had this need to prove myself to everyone around me that I work really hard. I couldn’t walk in a room without everyone already having an opinion. The thing about nepotism is the fear that you don’t earn or deserve the work. There was even a part of me when I was a little girl that thought if I’m gonna be an actress I’m going to go by Elizabeth Chase, which is my middle name.”
