‘Welcome to Plathville’ Fans Think Veronica and Kim’s Relationship Is ‘History Repeating Itself’ for 1 Big Reason
TLC’s Welcome to Plathvillehas a new cast member this season: Micah’s new girlfriend, Veronica. At the start of season 6, Micah was keeping his girlfriend under wraps. He’d made it clear that he was dating her, but her face was never seen on the show. Recently, though, Veronica has started to appear, and she’s now a regular cast member. For now, she has a good relationship with Micah’s mother, Kim, but some fans think it’s a sign of history repeating itself.
Veronica and Kim don’t always see eye to eye, but they do get along
When Veronica started appearing on the show, it was pretty soon clear that she and Kim didn’t agree on everything. When planning Moriah’s surprise party, the two women butted heads, but Veronica brushed it off, saying she really liked Kim. But fans quickly took notice, and they don’t think the good vibes between Kim and Veronica will last.
“She doesn’t like her,” one Reddit user suspects, referring to Veronica not liking Kim. “I love how she criticized Kim’s time management skills at the rental house then later backtracked and said, ‘She’s great I like her.’
Another user suggested the relationship between Kim and Veronica resembles that of Kim and Olivia in the early years. “Thinking back to how Olivia was very close to Kim when she was younger well before she married Ethan, I feel like this could very well be history repeating itself.”
Micah, however, seems absolutely smitten with Veronica, so it wouldn’t be ideal if she and Kim end up having issues. On episode 11, Micah and Veronica visited a jewelry store in South Florida, where they talked about engagement rings for the first time. Although Micah said he’s not ready to propose yet, he did say an engagement is “on the table.”

Of course, it’s hard to please everyone, and what matters most is that Micah loves Veronica. But fans are always going to provide their two cents, and some people aren’t convinced that Micah and Veronica are forever, with one user saying the couple’s interactions seem “forced and awkward.”
Veronica has faced bullying accusations since she and Micah took their relationship public. She even shared a series of photos of her younger self to the couple’s shared Instagram account.
“As an advocate against all forms of bullying, I stand firm in rejecting cruelty and prejudice,” part of the caption read. “Everyone deserves respect and dignity.”
