The TLC star recently went through a painful split from her boyfriend, as she revealed in the show’s season 4 premiere. While she doesn’t want to get into the details, she’s taking the breakup hard, as seen in a conversation between her and her brother Micah Plath in a teaser for Welcome to Plathville’s May 24 episode.

When Welcome to Plathville Season 3 ended, Max and Moriah were planning to move from Cairo, Ga. to Tampa with her brother Ethan Plath and sister-in-law Olivia Plath. But a betrayal on Max’s part scuttled those dreams of building a life together in Florida.
“A couple of weeks after I moved to Tampa, Max called me one night and just said, ‘I made a mistake,’” she said in the May 17 episode. “I’m not going to go into details,” she added, though she did say that Max’s actions had made her feel “worthless.”
“It hurts really bad,” she said. “Especially when you think you’ve found the one.”
In a February 2022 YouTube video, Max admitted he’d been unfaithful to Moriah, though he said he had not had sex with anybody else. Still, it was enough for Moriah to end their relationship, he said.
Moriah gets emotional about her breakup with Max in teaser for next episode
The end of her relationship with Max has left Moriah feeling like she might not ever find love again. In a clip (via Twitter) for the next episode of Welcome to Plathville, she gets emotional when speaking to her brother Micah Plath about the breakup.
“He’s a great guy. He’s the best guy I’ve ever met and ever will meet. I know that for a fact,” she says.
Moriah goes on to reject the idea that she would meet someone else and eventually get over her first love. “I can’t love somebody else after Max,” she says. “It’s not possible. He was genuinely my soulmate. I wanted to marry him.”
Moriah tells Micah to talk to Max about why they split up
Micah offers some words of support to his sister, telling her that if Max mistreated her, she shouldn’t try to ignore the issue.
Moriah tells her brother that he should talk to Max directly about why the relationship ended. In a confessional, she says she’s not yet comfortable talking about the situation in detail, in part because she didn’t want other people to dislike him for what he did.
“I don’t want anybody to hate him,” she says. “I just really want to leave it up to Max to own up to it.”
