‘Welcome to Plathville’: Olivia Plath Says Her Life Is ‘Just Beginning’ Following Move to Tampa in Season 3 Finale
Olivia Plath is moving forward. The dramatic Welcome to Plathville Season 3 finale saw Olivia and her husband Ethan Plath finally leaving small-town Cairo, Georgia for a new life in Florida. And the 23-year-old TLC star couldn’t be more excited for the change.

Throughout Welcome to Plathville’s third season, Olivia and Ethan were at odds about how to move forward in their relationship. She was ready for a change of scenery — and to get further away from his controlling parents, Barry and Kim Plath. But Ethan was more hesitant to make a major change, especially one that would put more distance between him and his younger siblings. At one point, their inability to agree on what to do next had them considering divorce.
Ethan and Olivia’s relationship is still rocky, but in the season finale, which aired Nov. 2, the couple loaded up a U-Haul and left Georgia behind.
“Let’s get the f*** out of Cairo,” Ethan said as he and his wife left their house for the last time, along with his sister Moriah Plath and her boyfriend Max, who were also moving to Florida.

Like her husband, Olivia grew up in an ultra-conservative Christian family. But as a teen, she began to break away from that lifestyle, and once she married Ethan, she encourage him to question his parents’ beliefs as well. That process causes a great deal of conflict with his mom and dad, especially his mom Kim, as seen on Welcome to Plathville.
In an Instagram post, Olivia reflected on her time in the Peach State. She was not always happy living so close to her husband’s parents. But she said it was ultimately a healing period in her life.
“Moving to Georgia and trying to build a new life with a new family was the unraveling of my old life and who I thought I was,” she wrote. “And as each thread came loose, I caught further glimpses of myself, the good, the bad, the raw, the broken, the beautiful. I thought being unraveled would kill me. Instead it began to build and heal me.”

Now, Olivia says she is ready to start fresh in Florida.
“I might have been left with threads, but I’ve begun to weave my tapestry,” the Welcome to Plathville star wrote. “My life is just beginning. And I couldn’t be more f***ing excited.”
Olivia, who works as a wedding photographer, said she felt she had so much to look forward to in her new city.
“I’m stoked to explore Tampa for a year with my best friends, and then the rest of the world after that!” she wrote. “This season might be over, but our lives are just beginning.”
