So far, TLC hasn’t made any announcement about whether there will be a Welcome to Plathville Season 4. That’s not unusual. The network typically leaves fans hanging about the status of their favorite shows, waiting until a few weeks before a new season premieres to reveal if a show is returning.

Welcome to Plathville Seasons 1 and 2 premiered in November, while season 3 premiered in August. Based on that pattern, fans might have to wait until summer 2022 to see new episodes, if the show is renewed.

How ‘Welcome to Plathville’ Season 3 ended

Welcome to Plathville Season 3 ended with some big changes for the Plath family. Olivia and her husband Ethan Plath finally left Cairo to start a new life in Tampa. Ethan’s younger sister Moriah and her boyfriend Max decided to join them in Florida. But Micah decided to head in a different direction, moving to Los Angeles, much to the surprise of his siblings.

Before moving away from Ethan’s hometown, Olivia decided she needed to tie up loose ends with her in-laws, Barry and Kim Plath. The three had their first face-to-face conversation in years. While there was still tension between them, Kim and Barry agreed to let Olivia say goodbye to Ethan’s younger siblings — a major step forward in their relationship.

Meanwhile, Lydia Plath, who is the oldest Plath child still living at home, graduated from high school. The family celebrated with a graduation party. Earlier in the season, the 17-year-old had apologized for texting with a boy she had a crush on without her parents’ permission. Lydia seems to have moved on from that incident, and Kim seems to be pushing her toward a friend of the family named Phillip, who is a youth pastor. The two even waltzed together at her party.

Welcome to Plathville hasn’t officially been renewed for season 4. But if the show does return, there’s plenty of potential storylines to explore. While Ethan and Olivia have decided to move to Tampa together, they haven’t resolved all the issues in their relationship, and it sounds like divorce may still be on the table. Plus, there’s Moriah’s deepening relationship with Max. All four will also be adjusting to their new life in Tampa.

Future episodes might also follow Micah’s adventures in Los Angeles and a possible relationship between Lydia and Phillip. And with the younger Plath kids getting older, we might see more storylines involving Isaac, Amber, Cassia, and Mercy Plath.
