‘Welcome to Plathville’ Star Lydia Plath Is Engaged
Congratulations are in order for Welcome to Plathville’s Lydia Plath. The TLC star is engaged to her boyfriend Zac Wyse. The happy news comes just one month after she went public with her new romance with the man she calls “the love of my life.”

Lydia shared the news of her engagement in a Dec. 16 Instagram post.
“You’re a gift from the Lord! You’ve been so patient with me and you’ve led in such a humble and giving way,” the 20-year-old wrote. “The way you care for not only me, but for my family, my friends and everyone you come across in such an intentional way is a rare gem to find. And the ways I’ve seen the Lord work in and through our relationship has been such a beautiful experience and I can’t wait to experience that with you forever!
“I love you so much. And I’m so blessed to call you mine,” she added.
Lydia also shared photos of Zac’s romantic proposal. He popped the question by the shores of a lake. She wore a long-sleeved red top and long black skirt, while he wore a blue suit.
Who is Zac Wyse?
Zac also posted about his and Lydia’s engagement on his Instagram.
“You are the love of my life! You make me better in ways I never knew possible,” he wrote. “You push me closer to the Lord every day and I can’t wait to see what else the Lord has in store for us! I love you so much and I am so excited to spend the rest of our lives together!”
“Thanks to the Plath family and everyone else who made this whole thing possible! We were able to pull off the most elaborate surprise for her and it really made this day so special for us!” he added.
Lydia hasn’t shared many details about her husband-to-be, and his social media only features a handful of posts. But according to his Instagram bio, he lives in Colorado. In early November, he posted photos from a trip to Rome.
The couple hasn’t said when they plan to tie the knot. Right now, they appear to be dating long-distance, with Lydia living in Florida and Zac in the Centennial State. It’s not clear how long they’ve been together, but Lydia began posting about trips to Colorado in August.
Lydia is the fifth of Kim and Barry Plath’s 10 children. Her siblings include Ethan Plath, Moriah Plath, and Micah Plath. The family of Christian fundamentalists share their life on TLC’s Welcome to Plathville. The show premiered in 2019. Season 6 concluded in October 2024.
