Wells Adams Wants Peter Weber and Kelley Flanagan on ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ If They Break Up
After an incredibly dramatic season of The Bachelor, Peter Weber and Kelley Flanagan are officially together.
They’ve been quarantining together since shelter-in-place orders were first given. Weber told Nick Viall on The Viall Files that he and Flanagan got together after repeatedly running into each other after filming.
“It kind of became a thing where we’ve always gotten along really well and just had really good chemistry and we just enjoy each other’s company,” he said.
Wells Adams wants Peter Weber and Kelley Flanagan to be on ‘Bachelor in Paradise’
Before Weber and Flanagan had officially announced that they’re dating, Bachelor in Paradise bartender Wells Adams did an Interview with Us Weekly to promote his new show, Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition. He said that if Weber and Flanagan break up between now and when BIP films, he hopes they’ll go on the show.
“I’m all for Peter in Paradise, that is what I’m pushing big time,” he told the publication on May 1.
“Listen, if that’s true, great! If not, great,” the reality star said of the then-rumors of the couple being together. “But like, what if they break up between now and then, and then they both come to Paradise!”
Chances are, even if they do break up, Flanagan and Weber won’t be appearing on the next season of Bachelor in Paradise.
“I don’t think I’m made for these shows,” Flanagan said on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast when asked about Bachelor in Paradise. “Hey, I respect it. They’re amazing. But I don’t know how much of a future I have with them.”
Weber is a little more of a wild-card. Former leads don’t typically do the Paradise thing. But you never know.
Wells Adams thinks Bachelor Nation needs to give Peter Weber some slack
Adams also spoke about the criticism Weber received during and after his Bachelor season. Adams thinks Weber was in a really difficult position.
“I think that’s such a tough thing to be good at. You innately want to hate somebody that has so many beautiful women going after them, no man really deserves that,” said the bartender. “You’re just under this microscope. Good on Ben [Higgins], Ben’s one of my best friends. The fact that he was able to do that and had people like him, that’s not the norm. He’s the outlier there. So whoever’s going to be the person is going to be disliked. Unfortunately, it just didn’t work out for him and I feel bad for him.”
Adams says the Bachelor audience tends to focus more on the leads than the cast.
“Here’s the thing though and everyone forgets this — the show isn’t about the lead, never has been. The show is about all the women there for the lead or all the men there for the lead,” he said. “Unfortunately, the spotlight gets put on Peter and he’s a super nice guy and I’m sure he meant well and it just didn’t go well for him.”
