Wendy Williams Begs Adele’s Fans to ‘Let Her Live’ — Here’s Why
Wendy Williams loves discussing what’s new in celebrity entertainment via her “Hot Topics” segment on The Wendy Williams Show. Each morning, Williams sit in her chair and sips her tea while spilling the tea to her audience and viewers about what’s new in entertainment news. And on February 7, she defended Adele after she learned Adele’s fans were disappointed about something.
Williams loves to give her opinion
Even before Williams received a daytime talk show, she was never shy about saying how she felt. Williams loves to give her opinion on celebrities’ lives, and it’s become the most well-known part of her talk show. Each morning she sits down with fans and gives her views on what’s happening in the celebrity world.
Occasionally, Williams has thoughts that don’t go over well with everyone; she recently called out Rob Kardashian for dating Love & Hip Hop star Tommie Lee, and Lee then bashed Williams on social media. Williams also once called Lori Loughlin’s daughter Olivia Jade “stupid” and “entitled” amid the college admissions scandal drama.
Adele’s fans are reportedly upset about Adele shutting down her tour company
It recently came out that Adele had shut down her touring company, which has fans concerned that she might never perform another show again. The Daily Mail reported that Adele has made millions from her touring company, Remedy Touring LLP, making it even more interesting that she would have shut it down — unless it meant that her concerts were a thing of the past. There isn’t much information around the company’s liquidation, though fans are fearing the worst.
Williams defends Adele, says fans need to ‘let her live’
Williams discussed Adele’s touring company on her February 7 show, suggesting that fans have no right to be upset over the touring company’s closure. Williams came to Adele’s defense, saying that fans need to “let her live” and if she doesn’t want to tour anymore, that’s up to her.
“Can you just let her live? She’s got ‘Hello’ and all that other stuff — her music will set you good for life,” Williams said. “I don’t think that Adele needs to tour anymore if she doesn’t want to; she’s given us a whole bunch of good work … If she wants to come back in five years, we’ll be here for it.” Fans in the audience applauded Williams for sticking up for the singer.
Adele has taken a long hiatus from music
It’s been about five years since Adele released new music, and it was recently announced that she would finally release new songs in 2020. Now, though, with the tour company folding, fans are still concerned about what Adele’s future holds in terms of performances. But Williams noted that Adele does have a seven-year-old son, and she might want to take a break from touring for a while to raise him properly and be there for him.
Right now, it’s unclear what this means for the “Set Fire to the Rain” singer’s future, but time will tell if she returns to the stage.
