Wendy Williams’ Ex-Husband, Kevin Hunter, Says He Cheated During His Marriage Because Williams Worked and Drank Too Much

Wendy Williams appears to be thriving since divorcing her husband of over 20 years, Kevin Hunter. Williams and Hunter split after Hunter fathered another child with his mistress. Williams has been open about the devastation of the betrayal, and now Hunter is sharing his side of the story. In a series of interviews with a popular YouTube channel, Hunter says he began cheating on Williams because of her hectic work schedule, and cited her history with substance abuse as another contributing factor.

Hunter did a few exclusive audio interviews with YouTube star Tasha K on his marriage to business affairs. He opted to do so to tell his side of the story, with the intention of putting rumors surrounding his divorce to rest.

One of the subjects Tasha K dug into was Hunter’s longtime mistress, who according to a report from The Daily Mail, Hunter engaged in an extramarital affair with for over 10 years. According to Tasha K, Hunter explained that he began cheating on Williams because of her workload. He also alleged that Williams coped with stress by drinking and recreational drugs.

In one of the audio recording of the interview, Hunter said, “He told me, he said ‘Tasha, the reason I cheated is because Wendy never took a day off…I would try to get her to take vacations and then when she did have time off, she [Williams] would be drinking, or doing drugs, and I wanted a wife.’”

Williams has been open about her past struggles with substance abuse. She reportedly relapsed in 2019, which insiders told The Daily Mail was brought on by the revelation that Hunter’s mistress was pregnant with his child. 

Williams entered into a sober living facility before ultimately filing for divorce. Williams said during one interview that she was not in the sober living house because of relapsing, but instead, it was to be away from Hunter while she made the decision to file for divorce and get her business affairs in order.

Hunter also alleged that Williams was so into her job, that she allowed executives to talk down to him, despite him working as her manager.

“He told me, ‘Tasha I just needed some solace, she wouldn’t listen to me, she was letting them executives talk s**t to me,’” he reportedly told Tasha K.

Tasha K also alleged that Hunter admitted he cheated throughout his entire marriage to Williams, but that only Hudson was the one he had a full-blown relationship with. Hunter met Hudson through Charlamagne Tha God, who he was handling business affairs for at the time. 

“She [Hudson] wasn’t the only one…and whatever we were doing during that time, I always went home to my wife at the end of the night,” Hunter said.

According to Hunter, falling for Hudson caught him off guard. He alleges that Charlamagne eventually became bitter that he started a relationship with Hudson.

“He [Charlamagne] really liked shorty [Hudson]. He used to tow her to me like, ‘Yo, she the baddest girl in town, nobody can’t get her,” Hunter said. “He [Charlamagne] did not expect for us to hit it off the way we did. I didn’t expect it, I know she [Hudson] didn’t.”

At one point, Hunter owned a modeling agency. Tasha K said that Hunter had affairs with many of the models he managed.
