Wendy Williams has recently broken her silence on Sean “Diddy” Combs’ arrest. The former talk show host feuded with Diddy in the 1990s and early 2000s. Though they eventually reconciled on The Wendy Williams Show in 2017, she recently said the allegations against him have disgusted her. She said she thinks it’s about time that he faces justice.

Wendy Williams said she is glad Diddy is facing consequences

In September, police arrested Diddy on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. Williams, who feuded with Diddy for years, said people in her life began contacting her about his arrest.

“What is really weird is that I have been told by so many people ‘Wendy you called it,’” she told DailyMail.com. “Including some people from my family who have said the same.”

She said it’s about time that Diddy faces consequences, particularly in the wake of allegations made against him by his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.

“You know how I feel about that? It is about time,” Williams said. “To see this video on TV of [Cassie] getting pummeled … it was just horrific. But now you have to think, how many more times? How many people? How many more women? It’s just so horrible.”

Wendy Williams once said she would always hold contempt for Diddy

In 2004, Williams dedicated an entire chapter of her book The Wendy Williams Experience to her feelings on Diddy.

“For the record, I do not hate Sean ‘Puff Daddy, Puffy, P. Diddy’ Combs,” she wrote. “I do not hate anyone, for that matter. I do, however, hold a certain level of contempt for Puffy. He single-handedly tried to ruin me, tried to ruin my career. He spent a lot of money and used a lot of his influence to try to crush me in New York in the late 1990s.”

She added that she would “never forget” the “hell” he put her through, but said that his efforts to “ruin” her wouldn’t stop her from talking about him.

“There seems to be this black cloud over Puffy,” she wrote. “Call it karma, call it kismet, call it what you want. I didn’t create it, but I damn sure will talk about it.”

In 2017, however, Diddy appeared on The Wendy Williams Show, where they reconciled.

50 Cent is another celebrity who has long called Diddy out

While many of Diddy’s celebrity friends have stayed quiet on the allegations against him, Williams has long spoken critically about him. 50 Cent is another celebrity who has publicly feuded with Diddy for years. He is even producing a docuseries about Diddy for Netflix.

“I’ve been very vocal about not going to Puffy parties and doing s*** like that,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “I’ve been staying out of that s*** for years. It’s just an uncomfortable energy connected to it.”

He shared why he thinks so many other celebrities are staying silent.

“Some of them were involved, at the parties and enjoyed themselves, so they don’t know what the f*** is on tape or what’s not on tape, so they’re not going to say anything because they might have had too much fun,” he said. “And then you’ve got other people who look and go, ‘Well, that’s not my business and I don’t want to be in it.’”
