We’ve watched Wes Bergmann play MTV’s The Challenge for years, and he’s proven to be one of the most successful players in the history of the show. On Total Madness, he had a close relationship with Bayleigh Dayton and Dayton’s husband, Chris “Swaggy C” Williams. Dayton and Williams participated in the same Big Brother season and later married. And now, Dayton is on her own with Big Brother: All-Stars.

It looks like Dayton took some shots at Bergmann while on All-Stars, too. Here’s what she said and how Bergmann responded on Twitter to what he heard.

Bayleigh Dayton is on the current season of ‘Big Brother’

Being a reality TV star isn’t easy, and Dayton and Williams handle it with grace. Dayton made it to the finale of Total Madness, but an injury derailed her and cost her the $500,000 grand prize. She’s back on season 22 of Big Brother to redeem herself, though. And we’re sure we’ll see her on future Challenge seasons as well.

Dayton and Williams spoke with Entertainment Tonight Canada about being reality TV stars, too. “The combination of stress is the only thing that deters us, because it’s stressful while you’re there,” Dayton explained. “It’s a lot going on. You’re dealing with crap. And then you get a mini pause, and then it’s stressful all over again. So, it’s just a lot.”

Williams also mentioned that he doesn’t get a lot of respect as a reality star. “Fans feel super entitled to us as reality stars in general,” he added.

Many MTV fans had their first introduction to Dayton on The Challenge: Total Madness. While Dayton didn’t know most of the other competitors on the show, she did have a history with Kaycee Clark on a past Big Brother season. And, she revealed to the Challenge Mania podcast that she and Williams knew Bergmann in real life.

Dayton explained that Bergmann’s no. 1 ally, Dee Nguyen, felt threatened by Dayton’s alliance with Bergmann. “Dee is very territorial, so she was more jealous,” Dayton noted. “She was like, ‘I’m Wes’s No. 1, you’re not.’ And I’m like, ‘Honey, I’m not competing with you. I already have a No. 1 in the game. You need to get your mind in the game and actually realize you have more numbers now. Don’t make it a competition.”

Dayton then revealed that she knew Bergmann prior to Total Madness. “And then when [Nguyen] realized that we actually knew Wes in real life, it kind of hurt her feelings, because she had never met Wes’ wife or done that stuff. It was just too personal, too up close,” she added.

It looks like Dayton may be calling out Bergmann’s behavior on Big Brother. A clip from the show shows Dayton talking about Bergmann’s character.

“Wes is a hard personality, too,” Dayton shared. “In the funniest way, very narcissistic. He’s just overly-confident. It’s like, he can get away with talking … like, if I said what he said, or Swaggy said what he said, we would get crushed. … He likes to be a big fish in a small pond.”

Bergmann reweeted the clip and shared his thoughts. “I am a narcissist and I do like to be the big fish in a small pond,” he noted. “And she’s playing a game. Let her do her thing. I trust her.”

On Aug. 5, Bergmann showed his support for Dayton once again. “There’s definitely something to this Big Brother thing. #TeamBayleigh,” he tweeted.

It seems Bergmann knows Dayton is playing the game, so he’s not taking the hits too personally. Will Bergmann and Dayton work together in the future on reality TV? We suspect it’s possible.
