Someone’s Hogwarts house is just as, if not more, important than someone’s zodiac sign. Where an individual would be sorted can give a lot of insight to their personality. Gryffindor is known for bravery, Slytherin is known for ambition, Hufflepuffs are loyal, and those in Ravenclaw are intelligent. According to BTS’s leader, RM, these are the BTS members’ Hogwarts houses.

RM and Jin belong in Gryffindor

Those in Gryffindor are courageous and chivalrous. One might be tempted to sort RM into Ravenclaw because of his IQ score of 148. However, people are much more multi-faced than one or two overarching qualities.

Those in Gryffindor are often natural born leaders. Even though RM is not the oldest member of BTS, he was selected to be the group’s leader. RM is extremely intelligent, but he also helps the group by setting an example for them. He also helps settle any disputes between members and represents BTS when speaking with the media.

Jin is the oldest member of BTS, which carries a lot of weight with the group. In a way, Jin helped make BTS the way the group is today. Although he is not the leader, Jin plays an integral role in BTS. He keeps the group laughing with his jokes and ability to goof off with the other members, but he also helps take care of the members when they need him.

BTS members V and J-Hope belong in the Hogwarts house called Hufflepuff

Those who belong in Hufflepuff are loyal, patient, and hard-working. Hufflepuffs are known for being very social and great friends. It’s no wonder RM sorted V and J-Hope in Hufflepuff.

J-Hope is known for his sunny persona onstage and in BTS content. He and Jimin are very close, and the two still room together in BTS’s dorm because Jimin does not like to live alone. For the season finale of Run BTS!, J-Hope gifted Jimin with a personalized CD of his song, “Promise.”

To BTS fans, V might be one of the most difficult members to place in a Hogwarts house. He is very free spirited and has a complex and multi-layered personality. However, V makes friends very easily, and during BTS’s month-long vacation he traveled and posted photos with a group of friends. This could explain why RM sorted V in Hufflepuff instead of a different Hogwarts house.

Jimin and Suga are both in Slytherin

Members of the Hogwarts house Slytherin are ambitious, cunning, and resourceful. Anyone who watches Run BTS! will not be shocked RM placed Jimin and Suga in Slytherin. In an episode from the third season, Jimin tricked Jin that the water in a lake was not cold, and Suga said nothing as Jimin continued with his prank.

“seokjin actually believing him like a complete dumb gryffindor vs yoongi seeing through him and knowing jimin was lying but not saying anything like a fellow slytherin, pick ur fighter,” a fan tweeted after the episode aired.

While both Jimin and Suga are very cunning as shown in multiple Run BTS! episodes, both members are also very ambitious. Jimin used to spend hours in the practice room learning dances, and Suga often works until the early hours of the morning composing music in his studio. Out of all of the members of BTS, Suga and Jimin are probably the easiest to sort into a Hogwarts house.

BTS’s “golden maknae” Jungkook is in Ravenclaw

Ravenclaw values intelligence and creativity. Jungkook is considered the “golden maknae” because he is the youngest member but is good at everything. Jungkook can sing, rap, and dance incredibly well. He is very athletic, and every time he picks up a new hobby he masters it very quickly.

During BTS’s month-long hiatus, some fans joked Jungkook would become the next avatar because of how quickly he masters new skills.

“jungkook’s so silent because he’s off in the mountains learning how to become the next avatar,” a fan joked on Twitter.
