Former bachelor Colton Underwood and Cassie Randolph have been keeping quiet about the specifics of their breakup. But that hasn’t stopped them from taking jabs at each other on social media.

On July 6, Randolph’s interview with Chris Harrison on The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons – Ever! went live. And it quickly became clear that the appearance didn’t sit well with Underwood.

Colton Underwood, apparently, didn’t like Cassie Randolph’s ‘The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons – Ever!’ interview

A few days later, Underwood took to Instagram to, according to some fans, throw shade Cassie’s way and announce that he is officially moving on.

“When our relationship ended we agreed to handle things as privately as possible as we attempted to navigate our new relationship as friends. I chose to do that since we were living in this interim period, but obviously a lot changed this week,” he wrote in his caption.

The former football player also wrote about gaining “clarity about what I want and more importantly what I need in a relationship” and that he’s “excited for this next chapter of my life with new stories and new people.”

He ended the post thanking his fans for their support (when Randolph has been open about the negativity she’s received since their split).

Fans couldn’t help but consider the post a dig at the reality star’s ex. And, evidently, she thought so, too.

Randolph took to her Instagram stories to respond to her ex’s post. She explained why she did the GOAT interview (because she’s appreciative of The Bachelor for giving her a platform) and asked Underwood not to drag her online. She also accused him of wanting to “monetize” their breakup and his experience with coronavirus (COVID-19).

Bachelor Nation weighs in on the Colton and Cassie breakup drama

One Bachelor fan account, Bachelor Nation Scoop, posted the whole exchange on Instagram and fans are very much weighing in with their thoughts.

As Underwood mentioned in his post, he’s receiving a lot of support right now from Bachelor fans.

“This is so annoying. His post was nothing but kind. She should have never done the interview then, clearly just using it for clout. She needs to get over herself,” wrote one Instagram user.

“She sounds pretty panicked about something coming out…” another fan weighed in.

Plenty of other fans feel Randolph should have “spoken to [Colton Underwood] directly and privately instead of posting this.”

But not all Bachelor fans are siding with the former football player.

“Everyone’s coming for Cassie, but are we really going to pretend like Colton isn’t a professional clout chaser?” wrote one fan on the post.

Another agreed that Underwood was being “passive aggressive.”

“I did notice his passive aggressive comment saying obviously things changed this week. But i was confused by it bc she said nothing in the interview and even said she would not talk about it,” they commented.

Many fans agree that Randolph was respectful in her interview with Harrison.

“He’s stabbing at her by adding in the ‘but obviously that changed this week.’ She was so respectful throughout the interview. She also told Chris she didnt want to talk about it plenty of times. She also continued to explain how edited the interview actually was,” commented another Instagram user.

Generally, it seems Bachelor fans are pretty split about the Cassie and Colton drama. But the public is still in the dark when it comes to the actual details of the breakup. We’re sure, as more information comes out, fans will continue to weigh in.
