What Did Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi Do Between ‘Jersey Shore’ and ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’?
Jersey Shore instantly became a hit for MTV. The reality series introduced viewers to eight self-proclaimed guidos and guidettes who became cultural icons. One of those guidettes was Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, who was defined by her iconic hair pouf, passion for cheetah print, and desire to find a “hot guido juicehead.”
When the original series concluded in 2012, it was the end of an era. Many fans wondered what the Jersey Shore cast was going to do next.
As one of the most popular Jersey Shore cast members, Polizzi used her celebrity to her advantage. She managed to keep herself busy and remain in the spotlight after the original Jersey Shore ended.
‘Snooki’ and ‘JWoww’ had a spinoff show
Thanks to the success of Jersey Shore, Polizzi and her newfound best friend, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, were given a spinoff series. Working with producer SallyAnn Salsano, the duo filmed four seasons of a Laverne & Shirley-inspired series.
From June 2012 to February 2015, Snooki & JWoww ran for four seasons. The show documented Polizzi and Farley’s relationship, as well as the planning of her wedding and the birth of her first two children.
‘Snooki’ got engaged and started a family
Jersey Shore fans remember Jionni Lavalle from his time on the reality series. In March 2012, he proposed to Polizzi. The two had their first child, Lorenzo, in August of 2012.
Then, in November 2014, Polizzi and Lavalle were married at a Great Gatsby themed wedding. Their second child, Giovanna, was born in September 2014. More recently, the couple welcomed their third child, Angelo, in May 2019.
Nicole celebrated being a mom with another spinoff
As fan favorites, it should come as no surprise that Polizzi and JWoww had a second spinoff series after Jersey Shore ended. Polizzi and Farley’s second spinoff series, Snooki & Jwoww: Moms With Attitude, debuted in 2015.
Snooki & JWoww: Moms With Attitude was a web series. It aired in November 2015 on YouTube and ran for two seasons. According to Elite Daily, you can stream both seasons, a total of 100 episodes on the Go90 website.
‘Snooki’ took a liking to interior design
After two years of marriage, LaValle and Polizzi took on a major undertaking in 2016. Polizzi had a passion for home improvement projects. LaValle had the contracting skills to bring Polizzi’s visions to life. It was a match made in heaven.
Together, the married couple became expert house flippers, filming their renovations for the Nicole & Jionni’s Shore Flip series on the FYI Network. The duo invested time and money into transforming homes and turning a profit. Sadly, the show only lasted for one season.
When MTV announced Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, many fans were excited about Polizzi’s return. Sadly, after her three-season run, Polizzi is removing herself from the show altogether. Farley and Polizzi’s fellow “meatball,” Deena Cortese, are also leaving the series.
