What Did Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola Do After ‘Jersey Shore’?
Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola is best known for dating Ronnie Ortiz-Magro on MTV’s Jersey Shore. After six seasons, the show ended and Giancola chose not to return for the reboot, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. Find out what Giancola has done since her time on reality TV.
After ‘Jersey Shore,’ Sammi stayed out of the spotlight
Unlike many of her co-stars, Giancola chose a life out of the spotlight after Jersey Shore concluded in 2012. When Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi created their spinoff series, Snooki & JWoww, Giancola did make a few guest appearances. She also made guest appearances on Farley and Polizzi’s other venture, Moms With Attitude. However, she never had a spinoff where she was the star.
Sammi is an entrepreneur
Giancola started her clothing and accessories line, Sweetheart Styles, in 2013. The online boutique offers clothing, accessories, and home decor “perfect for any fashionista.” Today, Giancola’s boutique continues to be successful, with 144,000 followers on Instagram and new styles added to the site regularly.
Sammi co-hosted for a while
Despite Giancola’s lack of presence in the reality TV world, she did find other creative outlets. She became a co-host on the Just Sayin‘ podcast in 2015. Together with relationship specialist Siggy Flicker and television host Clare Galterio, the trio talked about dating, celebrity rumors, and what was going on in their personal lives. The podcast ran from July to November 2017.
Ronnie and Sam finally ended their relationship
Giancola and Ortiz-Magro continued to see each other for two years after Jersey Shore ended. Sadly, their relationship came to an end in 2014. The two allegedly tried to make things work for a brief period in 2016, but to no avail. Ortiz-Magro went on to date Malika Haqq and later, Jen Harley. In 2017, Giancola started dating her now-fiancé Christian Biscardi.
Sammi opted out of ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’
Much to the delight of fans, the cast of Jersey Shore announced their return to reality TV in 2018 with Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. Unfortunately for Giancola’s supporters, she declined to be part of the reboot. “I have chosen not to join the show this season because I am at a completely different place in my life right now focusing on my businesses and relationship,” Giancola shared on Instagram in 2018. “I am not the same person as I was when I was 22. At 31, I am currently extremely happy in every aspect of my life and want to avoid potentially TOXIC SITUATIONS.” Though the roommates were sad Giancola wouldn’t return, they understood her reasoning.
In 2019, Sammi got engaged
After dating for nearly two years, Biscardi proposed to Giancola on Mar. 5, 2019. She shared a photo of the engagement to her Instagram, writing: “I’m completely overwhelmed with happiness. Yesterday was the best day of my life! I get to marry my other half, best friend and soulmate. I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you @_biscardi I love you!!
The wedding was initially going to be sometime at the beginning of 2020. The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic pushed their wedding back. A source close to the couple told Us Weekly that the wedding has been “postponed until September.”
What does Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ do today?
Despite her wedding being postponed, Giancola seems to be thriving in 2020. She and Biscardi appear to be in a loving relationship, and many fans can’t wait to see wedding photos. Giancola continues to run Sweetheart Styles and live a quiet, happy life out of the spotlight.
