What Does Patrick Mahomes’ Girlfriend Brittany Matthews Do For Work?
Kansas City Chiefs fans know who exactly Patrick Mahomes’ girlfriend is. Since the young quarterback took over the starting job in 2018, he has given details about his life off the field with Brittany Matthews.
The pair started dating in high school and have been together ever since. These days Matthews is a fixture at her beau’s games and on his Instagram account but some fans aren’t aware that while supporting her boyfriend, Matthews also has her own successful career. Here’s what she does for work, plus which room in their house is likely her favorite.
What Matthews’ job is today
Matthews has her own personal training business called Brittany Lynne Fitness. Her website offers training programs that are priced between $30 and $100.
“As a Certified Personal Trainer with a four-year bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, I have experience with all levels of fitness and have carried that experience with me to create exercise programs for people at all stages on their fitness journey,” she wrote on the website. “I hope you love my programs as much as I do — let’s reach your goals together!”
She also shares videos of her daily workouts with her more than 226,000 Instagram followers.
What her profession was before
Before she embarked on a career as a fitness trainer Matthews played soccer professionally for an Icelandic team.
“I didn’t even see myself playing college soccer when I graduated high school,” she previously told Tyler Morning Telegraph. “I ended up coming to UT Tyler to play soccer because it was close to home … Every coach I have had at UT Tyler made a huge impact on my love for this game and my decision to play professional soccer. An opportunity opened up for me in Iceland and I could never pass up such an amazing experience to go do what I love.”
“By the end of my first season [in Iceland], I truly began to fall in love with being in the gym more than being on the soccer field,” she states on her website. “Playing sports my whole life got me into fitness and playing in college taught me about strength training, wellness and maintaining peak fitness to perform at an elite level.”
Matthews and Mahomes reside together in Kansas City
The pair resides together in the town of Mission Hills, just outside Kansas City.
According to USA Today, the Chiefs quarterback purchased the 3,759-square-foot home in 2019. The house has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a pool, a chef’s kitchen, and a home gym which Matthews enjoys and spends a good amount of time in.
“Setting down roots in Kansas City was huge for us,” Mahomes said. “I think the people are what we love the most about Kansas City. They have such a passion for the community. The food. The football team. They treat us just like we’ve been here our whole entire life… We’re trying to be here for a long, long time.”
Matthews chimed in adding, “Very long! We love it here!”
