The Voice focuses on four judges who train teams of vocalists to compete against each other for a grand prize. Depending on who you are, serving as a judge on the show could earn you a fortune each and every season. So how much does someone as seasoned and famous as Nick Jonas make? And how does his salary compare to those of the other judges?

Nick Jonas’ salary on ‘The Voice’

As of writing, his official salary has not been announced. But based on his career and experience in the industry, StyleCaster estimates that Jonas takes home between $8 million and $10 million per season. Given that the show films two seasons a year, this means Jonas could make up to $20 million annually from The Voice alone. Impressive.

It was announced back in October 2019 that Jonas would be joining The Voice for its 18th season. Months later, on Feb. 24, he made his highly-anticipated debut on the show.

Though he’s still settling in and getting a feel for the series, Jonas seems to be having a blast — and it’s seemingly been all but confirmed that he’ll return for upcoming seasons.

“I’m so excited to be a part of The Voice family,” Jonas previously said in a statement shared with Entertainment Weekly. “It’s such an awesome group of individuals, and I can’t wait to help these artists really build and hone in to find their unique voices.”

Blake Shelton’s salary on ‘The Voice’

Shelton has appeared on the show since the beginning and has made quite a bit of money throughout the years. While his salary in earlier seasons is unclear, it was reported in 2016 that the country music star earned a deal with NBC for $13 million per season. If you’re doing the math, this means he makes $26 million from the show each year.

StyleCaster notes, though, that Shelton could be making even more money if he signed a new contract since 2016. According to a 2019 report from Celebrity Insider, Shelton and his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, were given “an exceptional bonus to keep the spark alive on-camera.” But now that she’s left the show, maybe he’s back to his normal payout.

Kelly Clarkson’s salary on ‘The Voice’

Clarkson has appeared on the show ever since season 14. At the time of her debut, Radar Online reported that the American Idol alum inked a deal for a whopping $14 million per season.

Given that she’s become a fan favorite, it seems likely that she could have negotiated an even bigger salary in later years, but nothing of that nature has been reported yet. Even so, $28 million a year isn’t too shabby.

John Legend’s salary on ‘The Voice’

Lastly, we have Legend, who joined the show in its 16th season. His exact salary is also unclear, but StyleCaster reports that he likely earns between $13 to $14 million a year. This means that either he or Clarkson are the highest-paid judges on the show.
