Minaj has been with her husband, Kenneth Petty, since December 2018, Us Weekly reports. Unfortunately, Minaj received a ton of backlash for her boyfriend because he was convicted of first-degree rape in 1995. But she didn’t let that stop her, as the couple had a longer history than most knew.
“Nicki and Kenneth dated when she was a teenager, before she was famous,” a source claimed. “They linked up when she handed out turkeys for Thanksgiving in her hometown.”
By early 2019, the two were already sparking marriage rumors. And they reportedly married in October 2019, according to Minaj’s Instagram. Today, they’re still going strong.
As for Minaj’s age when she met Petty, it’s tough to say. They were technically just kids when they first knew each other, but their romance sparked when Minaj was 36.
