What Does Queen Elizabeth Smell Like? 1 Star Says ‘Roses’
Queen Elizabeth II is the longest-reigning monarch in British history. A woman who has inspired respect and awe over the course of her long life, Queen Elizabeth is still going strong, even at the advanced age of 95. Not only does Queen Elizabeth manage all of her daily tasks, but she works to train her son and heir, Prince Charles, so that he may take over when she eventually steps down from the throne.
Over the years, many celebrities have met Queen Elizabeth, and while few have opened up about the unique experience, one particular star has revealed that not only is the queen a fascinating person, but that she smells especially good as well.
Queen Elizabeth is the most high-profile member of the royal family
Queen Elizabeth was born in 1926 and ascended to the throne of England in 1953. She married Prince Philip, her lifelong love, in 1947, and over the years that followed, the royal couple welcomed four children — Prince Charles, Anne, Princess Royal, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward. Queen Elizabeth has faced a lot of challenges over the course of her reign, including the high-profile deaths of many close relatives, and multiple divorces within the family.
Queen Elizabeth has occasionally received criticism from fans of the royal family, primarily from those who claim that she is at times too conservative. Still, throughout all the difficult times, the queen has maintained her famous “stiff upper lip,” never speaking out in haste and always working to maintain the dignity of the royal family. These days, Queen Elizabeth is still one of the world’s most respected women and is not only the world’s oldest monarch but is the longest-serving female head of state in world history.
What does Queen Elizabeth smell like?
Queen Elizabeth maintains a strict schedule and reportedly likes to follow roughly the same routine every single day. She is extremely active and still gets in her daily workouts. Additionally, she tends to eat healthy foods and only enjoys sweets in moderation — all habits that have contributed to her staggering longevity.
The queen also loves to take time to perfect her appearance, and reportedly, smells quite lovely. Music super Sting, who has met the queen on multiple occasions due to the fact that he is a close personal friend of Prince Charles, has revealed that Queen Elizabeth smells “like roses.”
The royal family tends to prefer floral perfumes
While Queen Elizabeth herself hasn’t opened up about what fragrance she chooses to spritz on a daily basis, Southern Living has reported that the queen picked the classic perfume White Rose by British beauty company Floris for her wedding day, and that it remains her favorite scent to this day. The fragrance has several prominent notes in it, most notably being carnation, which is one of the queen’s favorite flowers.
As for other members of the royal family, it is well known that Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge is a huge fan of fragrances. Kate especially loves Jo Malone Orange Blossom, a light floral fragrance that is perfect for Middleton’s numerous royal engagements.
As for Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, Harper’s Bazaar reported Meghan likes to switch back and forth between multiple fragrances, including Jo Malone London’s Wild Bluebell, Oribe, and Bvlgari BLV II. Of course, one fragrance habit that all royals must follow is to not overdo it on perfume — one or two sprays on pulse points usually provide the perfect amount of all-day subtle scent.
