What Taylor Swift Thinks of BTS
Taylor Swift and BTS are two of the biggest artists in the world. Swift recently released her seventh album, Lover, and it had the largest first-week sales of any album in 2019. BTS is the first group since the Beatles to have three No. 1 albums in a year. Swift recently told a fan what she thinks of BTS.
Taylor Swift and BTS met at the Billboard Music Awards
At the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, Swift met BTS. At the awards show, BTS won Top Social Artist. Swift met the group backstage and posted a photo with them on her Instagram.
She shared the photo again on her Instagram story and wrote, “BTS 4EVER” as the caption.
That night, Swift won Best Female Artist at the Billboard Music Awards. Both Swift and BTS are modern music legends. It seems the admiration between the two is mutual.
The members of BTS are fans of Taylor Swift
While Swift publicly declared her love for BTS after meeting them, BTS has shown their support of Swift’s music. Around the time BTS first debuted, V’s playlist featured two Swift songs from her Speak Now album. Jimin also said in a few early interviews he enjoyed Swift’s song, “Never Grow Up.”
At the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, multiple videos showed BTS enjoying Swift’s performance of her song, “ME!” After the awards show, BTS held a VLIVE for their fans. During the VLIVE, RM referenced Swift as BTS’s friend. Later in 2019, Jin showed fans that two of Swift’s songs from her new album were on his Spotify playlist.
Taylor Swift told a fan she loves BTS
On Tumblr, a fan posted a photo of Jin’s Spotify playlist. Two of Swift’s songs, “ME!” and “You Need To Calm Down,” were on the playlist.
In the post, the fan wrote, “ok but not at how bts members continue to stan taylor !!”
Swift reblogged the post and responded, “LOVE THEM SO MUCH.”
After Swift responded, the fan expressed their excitement over the exchange on their Twitter account.
“TAYLOR SWIFT LITERALLT RESPONDED TO ME TALKING ABOUT BTS WHAT IS LIFE RN,” wrote the fan on Twitter.
Some fans want a collaboration
After Swift made her love of BTS known, fans of the artists immediately wondered if a collaboration was possible.
“CAN THEY COLLAB ALTEADY,” wrote a Twitter user.
“we’re really at taylor swift’s 7th and bts’ 13th album BUT THERE’S NO COLLAB IN SIGHT,” wrote another.
“TAYLOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My heart can’t handle this Imagine if we got a Taylor Swift x BTS collab I WOULD DIE!!!! #TaylorSwift#BTS,” wrote a fan.
No official collaboration between Swift and BTS has been announced or hinted at. Both artists are mutual fans of each other and enjoy each other’s music. Based on the respect they have for each other, a collaboration does not seem out of the realm of possibility.
